What do you do when the past keeps calling you?

In Genesis 22, Abraham faces one of the greatest tests of his faith when God asks him to surrender Isaac—the son of promise he waited so long to receive.

Abraham’s life became such a visible testimony that even Abimelech recognized, “God is with you in all that you do.”

Pastors need prayer.

In Hebrews 13:18–19, the church is called to pray for its spiritual leaders—not generally, but personally and specifically. Pray for their courage to preach the whole Word of God, a clean conscience before the Lord, pure motives, protection from temptation, and strength to remain faithful.

Ministry cannot be sustained by human ability alone. Pastors need the power of the Holy Spirit and the prayers of God’s people. And the responsibility is personal: don’t wait for someone else to pray.
