God Alone is God . . . So I Can Trust Him

Isaiah 43:8-13

1. Only God is able to predict the future. vs 8-9

2. In spite of all my failures, God desires that I know Him through serving Him. vs 10

3. God alone can save. vs 11-13

God’s Love for Me is Greater than the Ugliness of My Past Mistakes and Rebellion.

Isaiah 43:1-7

1. My secure identity allows me to endure current and future hardship. vs 1, 7

2. God will be with me even at the far extreme of ugliness. vs 2, 5-6

3. No price is too high for God to pay to rescue me. vs 3-4

We are Called to Make God’s Glory Known

Isaiah 42:18-25

1. We are incapable of accomplishing what we have been called to do. vs 18-20

2. We cannot blame our failure on God. vs 21-22

3. Our default response of rebellion is displayed even when God shows parental love. vs 23-25

I Need to Praise God Even When He Seems Silent

Isaiah 42:10-17

1. I can praise God because He acts as a warrior for me. vs 10-13

2. God's silence does not mean He has forgotten me. vs 14-17

As Depressing as World Events are, I can be Confident of a Great Future

Isaiah 42:1-9

1. God (the One outside creation) has chosen a special Deliverer. vs 1

2. This Deliverer has a unique manner and certain success. vs 2-4

3. The One outside creation desires to fix the broken ones inside creation. vs 5-9

How to Move Away from Fear Controlled Living

Isaiah 41:21-29

1. It is foolish to hope in creation for deliverance. vs 21-24

2. We need deliverance from One outside of creation. vs 25-29

Don’t Worry Because . . .

Isaiah 41:8-20

1. God encourages us with His Presence. vs 8-10

2. God promises deliverance from our enemies. vs 11-13

3. God uses His people to accomplish His purposes. vs 14-16

4. God will establish His Kingdom. vs 17-20

God’s Actions Give Me Confidence to Trust His Ways

Isaiah 41:1-7

1. ​ God is able to call the nations to evaluate His ways. vs 1
2. ​ God is able to use pagan rulers to accomplish His plans. vs 2-4
3. ​ Distrust of God is shown as foolishness. vs 5-7

Why doesn't God act to make this situation right?

Isaiah 40:27-31

1. It is easy to wonder if God cares. vs. 27

2. God gives us strength in times of trouble. vs 28-29

3. We progress by drinking His strength. vs 30-31

Can God Deliver His People?

Isaiah 40:12-26

1. As Creator, God is not bound by the timeline of history. vs 12-14, 21-22

2. God is greater than nations or rulers. vs 15-17, 23-24

3. God is greater than the ‘gods’ of earth and heaven. vs 18-20, 25-26
