One of the last miracles of our Lord prior to the cross--Bartimaeus is freed from the darkness of blindness, and from the darkness of his sin at the same moment. God is glorified, and you will be challenged in a great way to reach out to those who are blind, but think they can see.

There are times in our lives when God's grace and His plans for us become very clear to us, but we have a tendency to forget when everyday life crowds back in. As believers, all of life should be lived in response to the deep truths of who Christ is and what He has done. As a church and as individuals, we have much to be thankful for. In America, economically, our bottom 5% make about the same on average as the top 5% in India. There is no doubt that the cost of living is different, yet we are blessed beyond measure--nationally, regionally, as a church, and as individual people. Whether you are unemployed, still in school, or residing in a nursing home, you have much to be thankful for!
