How Great the Father’s Love For Us

We will finish our study of the book of Philippians in chapter four with the final three verses describing The Sweetness of Camaraderie in Christ.

We will be impacted by the partnership, commitment and eternal investment of faithful financial giving. I am praying you will be as thrilled as I was to learn what God says.

Paul makes certain he thanks the Philippians for their generous giving. He’s been careful to let them know about His reliance on God’s supply alone, but Paul is also grateful in the midst of their genuine poverty (not being able to feed their own families) that the Philippians have generously given to support his ministry. Unlike most Christians in our culture, the Philippians were committed to eternity and investing into heavenly things, proven by their giving. Their example will inspire you.

These final verses are loaded with secrets for developing contentment, understanding God’s promises, plus motivating the blessing of giving and receiving.

Psalm 19 is a psalm that explains how God made Himself known to us. C.S. Lewis said it’s “the greatest poem in the Psalter and one of the greatest lyrics in the world.”

Deliverance comes from the Lord! Look back at how He has delivered in the past to produce trust, then look up and ask for deliverance, and expect God to deliver.

Psalm 130:4 says, With God there is forgiveness that you may be feared. Learn how God's great forgiveness is the foundation for Fearing him. Ascend from the depths of depravity to the Heights of Knowing God and his mercy!

If God is good and if God is just, then why do the wicked prosper while the righteous suffer? Why is life so much easier for them than it is for me? Have you ever asked this question? Welcome to the club. You are not alone. This is the very issue that the psalmist faces in Psalm 73.
