Easily the most controversial of gifts is the gift of tongues. There’s been such an attack from the enemy on this incredible gift and it’s often one of the most misunderstood gifts. Pastor Josiah helps clean up the confusion and give a strong Biblical foundation for what this gift needs to look like within the body of Christ and how beneficial it is for every one of us. This special gift, reserved for the New Testament church is a much needed to understand and much needed to be utilized gift of the Spirit. This is for you!
When Jesus sent out the 12, it was time to see what they’d actually learned! It’s where the rubber met the road so to speak. He sent them out with authority and power to actually do all He’d been preparing them to do.
We too have been sent out and carry His authority as we’ve been sent by Him. To proclaim the Gospel and to demonstrate the Kingdom. BOTH. The times of delay are far over. The world needs an encounter with Whom we love, Jesus the Christ.
You’ve heard it said, but it’s truer than ever before, it’s time for the church to become the church that it was always meant to be. The body of Christ holds such an important role in the advancement of God’s Kingdom! Our Father has equipped us with boldness and power, not for our own self-aggrandizement, but rather to share the message of salvation and freedom in the manner He has intended!
Tio is Pastor Josiah’s uncle and mentor. He took on the wonderful task of discipling him as a young man and has been a tremendous investment into his life and consequently all those he impacts. His message is about remaining passionate for the things of God. Truly living consecrated to the things of God without any desire to flounder away. His energetic and engaging delivery is marked with grace and zeal for the things of God. This is a can’t miss message!
It’s so vital for us to learn to discern what’s happening at the source. We live in a spiritual world and there are forces at work behind the natural veil we must learn to be aware of. Arguably this gift is one of the most crucial gifts needed within the body of Christ. The Apostle John had much to say on the topic as are there tremendous stories all throughout the Scriptures and namely the book of Acts where this gift in action is showcased and bears much fruit. We must be a maturing group of people who are able to discern what’s happening and furthermore, know what to do with what we’re discerning in the spirit world.
Hellen Keller famously wrote, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight, but no vision.” There was spiritual leaders that were the most qualified to recognize the Messiah, but even they were blind to His coming when He stood before them — yet blind people could see who He was.
Pastor Josiah shares about the value of community within the Body of Christ, so that when your faith is down another can help lift you up, and the two of you can believe for great things to be accomplished in the Kingdom. As long as familiarity doesn’t get the best of you. The harvest is truly plentiful but the laborers are few. There’s work to be done! It’s vital we represent Him right!
Finalizing the subject of the Gift of Prophecy Pastor Josiah takes us deeper into some prophetic etiquette on not just how to receive a healthy word but how to deliver a healthy word. What are some helpful things to look for when hearing from God and saying what He says? There is some healthy ways to make sure what you’re receiving and how you’re delivering is healthy. While leaving room for the human element — knowing that we know in part and prophesy in part. We don’t always see the full picture. Furthermore, there’s a strong element amongst prophetic people that has to do with revealing the heart of the Father. This is conveyed in the life of Elijah and reiterated by the prophet Malachi and ultimately John The Baptist & Jesus.
There’s a unique parallel in the storyline of religious leader Jairus coming to Jesus on behalf of his 12 year old daughter. While Jesus is going to heal his daughter, a woman who has an issue of blood comes full of faith to be healed by Jesus and we learn that she’s suffered with this issue for 12 years. Biblical numerology teaches us that the number 12 is indicative of government. It’s not a far stretch to see that this is a picture of a sick and dying government whose life is flowing out of it. What’s the answer? An encounter with Jesus! As we preach and stand for Jesus in all things, His love and message should permeate every area of our lives! How you treat your family, what you call entertainment, how you spend your money, how you vote at the ballot box — EVERYTHING! Jesus should infiltrate every area of the surrendered persons life — yes even the political realm.
