On Easter Sunday, we looked to Mark 16 and rejoiced in the awesome hope Christ has given believers through His resurrection.

On Palm Sunday, Pastor Jason preached from Mark 14, prompting us to consider who—or what—sits on the thrones of our hearts.

In Mark 14, the disciples were longing for a clear indication of what God was doing. Yet Jesus did not want them to chase after signs, but to look instead to the One who rules over everything.

What does it look like when Jesus calls us into discipleship? Pastor Jason looks at Mark 1:16-20 and gives us an understanding of what new life looks like when Jesus calls.

Three times Jesus warned His disciples about His betrayal, suffering, and death—and three times they missed it, turning the focus back on themselves. Yet each time, Jesus transformed their misunderstanding into a powerful picture of true discipleship. In this sermon, Pastor Jason walks through Mark 8–10 to uncover this pattern and invites us to follow Jesus in a life shaped by His service, His suffering, and His sacrificial love.

When we linger over one of Jesus’ most bewildering healings, we don’t see failure but a deliberate, carefully unfolding plan. In Mark 8:22–26, the goal isn’t just to show how Jesus healed, but to draw His disciples—and us—into the surprising beauty of a staged healing that invites us to ask what He might be doing in the slow, unfinished places of our stories.

In Mark 2, we see friends determined to bring their paralyzed companion to Jesus. Jesus not only heals him but also forgives his sins, then asks, “Which is easier?” In response, we’re invited to reflect: What do we desire most?

What contaminates our hearts is not our actions, and our actions cannot cleanse them. Our hearts are so defiled that we need a new one. In Mark 7, Pastor Jason shows Jesus as the surgeon and Scripture as the scalpel.
