A Covenant of Sure Mercy

The Reformers, in breaking free from the Roman Catholic "salvation" of good works and sacraments, spent much time in studying the purpose of the Law as relating to believers.

God is a Covenant Maker, not a contract maker. But men, by nature, are covenant breakers. And in that distinction is the reason God gave the Law of Moses.

Today you will hear a story that illustrates the steadfastness and power of Covenant. And learn that the same factors attend Covenant to- day!

A blood covenant is the strongest, most solemn binding agreement two individuals can enter into. Faith is no problem when you realize we are in covenant with God.

Covenant: An agreement entered into by two parties, usually a superior and an inferior, with blessings for obedience and curses for diso-bedience, in which they totally commit themselves and their resources, assets and liabilities, to one another.

From the beginning, God's dealings with man have always been based on covenant. Because we do not understand covenant, faith to us is a struggle instead of the rest it should be
