Election is God's choice -in Christ- of a people for Himself. Predestination comprehends what will happen to God's people -all genuine believers in Christ-. Open theists teach that God cannot know a future that hasn't occurred. Theological determinists teach that God knows the future only because he decreed it. Both are wrong-
