We clearly see the dark nature of sin contrasted with the purity/holiness of our Lord Jesus – His brightness shined through.  For us today, the Lord Jesus and the light of His Word illuminates our path and leads us every day to our appointed destination.  “ALL THE WAY HOME.”

Here is a great message of hope for ALL WHO COME to Christ Jesus. We see how Jesus does not encourage sin NOR DOES He condemn those who come to Him.

The believer is kept by the power of our Father in heaven.  That includes eternity and this life, and what He has called us to in this life.  Do not worry about tomorrow – be at peace today knowing that our Father RULES OVER ALL.  He will bring His will to pass in your life and the days He has given you will be fulfilled.  Our focus should be pleasing Him which includes loving each other.

The Law did not save us, but it did point out our sin.  Even today, as genuine Christians, we fail to perfectly keep God’s law.  We are saved by grace and we also stand in grace.

God is willing and able to guide us; this is a foundational truth.  There is no handout for this message.

You were made BY GOD and FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!

Jesus is exactly who He said He is: the eternal Son of God and born of a virgin.  He lived a perfectly righteous life (active obedience), and is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world by giving His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28) (Jesus’ passive obedience was the cross).

Scripture does not give us detailed time references for every event in Jesus’ life.  BUT in Daniel there is a reference to the time of His death that is so EXACT that we clearly see God’s sovereignty over His creation.

John's gospel repeatedly tells us that Jesus came to save His sheep and that the will of man is powerless apart from God's grace (not "free will" but "dead in sin").  

God does not need to coerce those who come to Christ. He draws us “with cords of love” – this is the “effectual calling.”
