Last week we talked about the fact that Prayer Changes People... but not against their will.  People don't change people.  I've been involved in counseling for over 20 years and I see it all the time.  People try to change people, but it doesn't work.  Prayer Changes People...

In a previous series I covered seven different prayers you can pray for people you love.  The Holy Spirit unctioned me today that I missed one of the most important ways to pray for people and that it to pray in the Spirit.  So we have our next series after this one!

The assignment in marriage is to love your spouse the way God loves them and at the highest level humanly possible.

Not everyone is called or assigned to be married

I am going to do my best today to try to help you understand spiritually what happened on this past Tuesday and what needs to be happening now as a result.  So please listen very carefully.

The Apostle John is recording for us a vision revealed to Him by our Lord Jesus.  In this vision He sees things both from the far past and far future.  Even unto the times that we are living in right now.  In this moment in chapter 12, he is talking about what happened in what we could call the beginning.  We know that in the beginning God made the heavens and the earth.  The earth is 4.54 billions years old according to scientists.  In the beginning when God created the heavens we know that God created the angels, which we understand now are different than human beings.  They are spirit beings like us, but they don't have physical bodies nor do they have freedom of choice.  Lucifer who is called the devil and satan is a fallen angel.  He is no god of this world.  There is only one God, beside Him there is none other.  Jesus, talking about the devil, said that satan has been a murderer from the beginning.

Not only was the devil cast out of heaven to the earth, but also a third of the angels were cast out with him.  They are now in the earth and are what we refer to as demons or evil spirits.

So John is seeing the essence of this and in this vision he hears this cry from heaven...

When I was younger I wanted to be so successful in ministry that someday I would be able to honor my mother by buying her a Mercedes Benz CLS.  How many of you would love to be able to...?

Well this is one of the reasons why Prosperity is important to God.  He really wants you prosper financially.  The second reason is so He can add to His family.

As a parent one of the most important things you want your children to know is that you are with them, you are for them. You want them to have the reassurance that if they need you, there’s nothing that’ll keep you from being there.

In todays message I’d  like to remind you that God is with you and the benefits that come along with being careful to obey.

So we are in this series of discovery about why things are the way they are.  We started in the beginning, when Adam was placed on this planet.  He was given dominion over the earth and everything that happened in the earth.  He was you could say, the king of the world.

We are called to teach and preach prosperity.  We have been given by God the assignment to preach the gospel to the poor.  That the Blessing of the Lord makes you rich.

This part of our service is not about taking up a better offering.  This is about you and I keeping God's word in front of our eyes concerning financial prosperity.

Why is money such an important subject to the Church?  Two Main Reasons:  #1 - Because God wants His children to prosper.  #2 - Because it costs money to preach the gospel effectively (God wants to add to His family).

We are continuing our all-too important series called The King & the outlaw.  The title today is From Outcast to Outlaw.  In this it is my assignment to show you from the word of God that the devil is a defeated foe.  He is not what he used to be.  And he is certainly not what people have made him out to be.

The goal of this entire series is for us to learn about the authority of the believer and how to exercise that authority in Jesus' Name.

We left off last week talking about what happened when Jesus died.  He went to hell and was tormented for our sins (the sins of the world).  But then, by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born again in hell.  He spoiled principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them.  He destroyed the devil, making him idle, useless, inoperative, unemployed.  He took his keys!

So where does that leave us today?

The Fourth Prayer

He came here to undo what satan did.

What did he do?  He swindled Adam and his wife and became the ruler of this world.
