The Brett Winterble Show

Faith, Food Reform, And More On The Brett Winterble Show

Listen Later

Tune in here to this Tuesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program talking about his restless night, reflecting on the current state of the nation in light of recent religious observances like Easter and Passover. He poses a thought-provoking question to his listeners: Do you pray for your country?—not from a political angle, but as a citizen concerned about division and unrest. Brett discusses the growing sense of societal fragmentation, despite the everyday decency seen in communities. He emphasizes the need to pray not just for one’s side, but for national unity and peace. Highlighting the dangers of polarization and media manipulation

Later in the show Brett revisits the importance of praying for the country. He welcomes a caller, Charlene, who shares her testimony of leaving the Democratic Party after 50 years due to her religious convictions. As a minister, she expresses deep concern over moral and cultural shifts in America, particularly around issues like gender identity and education. Charlene stresses that God doesn’t make mistakes and warns against societal rejection of divine design. She believes continued prayer from faithful Christians will guide the country back to its spiritual roots.

Beth Troutman from Good Morning BT is also here for this Tuesday's episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Beth talk about Red Dye 40 and its potential phase-out from U.S. food products, celebrating what they see as a long-overdue move toward healthier standards. Beth explains that Red Dye 40, a petroleum-based additive found in snacks like Skittles and Flaming Hot Cheetos, has been linked to hyperactivity in children and is already banned in many other countries. She applauds efforts by RFK Jr. and others to eliminate the dye by the end of next year, noting this would impact major food companies and benefit public health. Brett echoes the sentiment, criticizing the FDA’s “generally recognized as safe” label and joking that he’d prefer his food to be definitely safe.. Beth also shares what she and Bo have coming up Wednesday on Good Morning BT!
