What if caring for your family’s health started with asking better questions?
As moms, we spend so much of motherhood caring 4 everyone else that it can be easy to put our own health on the back burner. And for anxious moms, the amount of health information out there can feel overwhelming.
Today on Faith For Anxious Moms, I’m joined by Dr. Carly Egoavil, a licensed chiropractor & functional medicine practitioner w/ more than 15 years of clinical experience, and Dr. Rachel Marynowski, a licensed naturopathic physician w/ more than 20 years in healthcare.
Together, they are Kale Blossom—two moms and physicians who have created an online community and are a huge resource for moms who want to become more informed about their health and the health of their children.
In this conversation, we talk about what a functional approach to health means, how it differs from conventional medical care, from immunization schedules to recent study findings on Tylenol, we talk about how moms can become informed advocates for themselves and their families.
And because motherhood doesn’t leave much time for long conversations, we finish with a rapid-fire round covering everything from organic food, cookware, walking after meals, sauna vs. cold plunge, & where moms can start supporting their health today.
Whether you’re a SAHM, a working mom, or somewhere in between, caring for yourself is part of caring for the family God has entrusted to you. And just as we turn to faith, Scripture, a Bible verse, or a Bible study when we need wisdom for the challenges of motherhood, we can also give ourselves permission to ask questions and learn about our health.
Find Kale Blossom on Instagram at @kaleblossom and explore the resources they recommend for finding practitioners and learning more about functional health.

As moms, we spend so much time caring for our children, our families, and everyone around us that taking care of ourselves can easily fall to the bottom of the list.
This episode of Faith for Anxious Moms is brought to you by Lovebug Probiotics, a mom-founded probiotic brand created to make supporting your family's gut health a simple part of everyday wellness.
Lovebug's story began with motherhood. During the birth of her son, Hudson, co-founder Ashley Harris received broad-spectrum antibiotics. That experience led Ashley to start learning more about the gut microbiome and ultimately inspired her to create Lovebug — science-backed probiotics made with moms and families in mind.
Lovebug offers thoughtfully formulated probiotics for different ages and stages, with options for babies, toddlers, kids, women, and adults. Their probiotics are designed to support digestive and immune health as one simple addition to your family's everyday wellness routine.*
Lynn also had the opportunity to personally try LOVEBUG Immune Support Probiotic and especially liked the increase in regularity without the upset stomach & the simple once a day dose, and ease of adding to her supplement regimen.
Because caring well for the people we love includes remembering to care for ourselves, too.

Every mom needs advice from time to time.
Whether you're navigating parenting decisions, marriage struggles, homeschooling, friendships, anxiety, or simply trying to discern God's will, the question isn't whether you'll seek counsel—it's who you'll listen to.
In this episode of Faith for Anxious Moms, Lynn explores the story of King Rehoboam in 2 Chronicles 10-12 and the costly consequences of rejecting wise counsel. Rehoboam sought advice from two groups of people, but ultimately chose the voices that affirmed what he wanted to hear rather than what he needed to hear.
As Christian moms, we're surrounded by opinions—from social media, parenting experts, friends, family members, and online communities. But how do we know which voices are helping us move closer to God's wisdom?
Together we'll discuss:
✔ Why seeking godly counsel is a biblical principle✔ The difference between advice that feels comfortable and advice that is wise✔ Titus 2 and the importance of older women mentoring younger women✔ How Proverbs 15:22 and Proverbs 3:5-6 guide our decision-making✔ Why God's Word must remain our ultimate source of truth✔ Practical encouragement for moms who feel like they don't have a trusted mentor
We'll also talk about the beauty of studying the Old Testament and why these ancient stories continue to provide wisdom for modern motherhood.
If you're looking for biblical wisdom, encouragement, Bible study tools, and practical help for growing your faith while raising godly kids, this episode is for you.

Are Christian families looking for something different when it comes to education?
With Texas public school enrollment declining by more than 47,000 students this year and national enrollment projections continuing downward, many parents are asking important questions about their children's education, faith formation, and sense of belonging.
In this episode, Lynn sits down with Tricia Chinners, founder of Salt & Light Academy in Howe, Texas. A wife, mother, grandmother, and former NICU nurse, Tricia shares the incredible story of how God led her to create a unique learning environment where children can slow down, grow in responsibility, build meaningful relationships, and deepen their faith.
Together they discuss:
• Why families are exploring alternatives to traditional education
• What parents are saying they want most for their children
• How Salt & Light Academy combines faith, academics, farm life, and hands-on learning
• The importance of belonging, connection, and character development
• Biblical wisdom for moms making educational decisions
• Following God's calling even when the outcome feels uncertain
• How God has faithfully provided throughout the academy's journey
If you've ever wondered how to raise godly kids in today's culture, sought Bible study verses for wisdom and direction, or wrestled with educational decisions for your family, this conversation will encourage and inspire you.
Whether you're a homeschooling family, private school family, public school family, or simply seeking God's wisdom for motherhood, this episode offers encouragement, perspective, and hope for raising children who know and love Christ.
Seeing where God has been faithful before, we can rest that he will be faithful again!

Can life be hard and good at the same time?
After Mother’s Day, I found myself reflecting on the tension so many moms feel every day — joy mixed with grief, gratitude mixed with exhaustion, peace mixed with uncertainty and anxiety mixed with desire for wisdom in motherhood.
In this episode, we talk about the “duality” of difficult seasons and what Scripture shows us about walking through hardship with faith.
Through Psalms 40, 61, and 62, we look at David’s life during some of his darkest moments — betrayal, loss, fear, and uncertainty — yet we also see his continual praise and trust in God. So many great Bible verses for anxiety seen in David's emotionally charged Psalms.
What stood out to me this time reading the Psalms was this: David understood that God was doing something bigger than his immediate struggle.
In my quiet time, God used Psalms 40, 61, and 62 to show me that hard seasons can still point us — and others — to the hope and faithfulness of a Sovereign God.
What if our struggles are not only shaping us… but also pointing others toward Christ?
In this episode we discuss:
Life is hard. But God is still faithful. And our hope in Him outweighs it all.

What is shaping your thought life right now?
In today’s episode of Faith For Anxious Moms Podcast, we’re talking about how your daily rhythms of intake, what you consume, and—most importantly—how what you believe about God directly impact your mindset, perspective and decisions in front of you.
Because the truth is:
your thoughts don’t just happen… they’re formed.
Through a personal story about how a simple habit shift affected my mindset, and a powerful look at David’s life in 1 Samuel and Psalm 59, we unpack how David—while being hunted and hiding—anchored his thoughts in what he knew to be true about God:
God is our strength, our refuge, and full of steadfast love.
And that same truth is available to you today.
Friend, you don’t have to stay stuck in negative thinking. God's word shows us his strength and provides tons of examples. You can experience peace, clarity, and a renewed mind through spending time with God and being rooted in His Word.
Whether you are a working mom, SAHM, empty nester or in the thick of school aged kids just trying to stay sane while trying to point your kids to Christ, I believe Scripture is the answer to our daily perspective.
Scripture referenced:
1 Samuel, Psalm 11, Psalm 59, John 10:10
