This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday, when we recall the absolute mercy Jesus has for all humanity. Today, we know our Lord is certainly worth trusting in, and all his promises are true, and we can thank St Thomas for asking Christ to confirm this for all future generations, including us here and now.

This is indeed the testimony of sensible, deep-thinking people who know what they mean and mean what they say. Holy Week has begun. Let us be immersed into the drama of Holy Week, so that Jesus, who gave absolutely everything for us out of divine and overflowing love and self-giving, will bring us through this and every trial and sin, all injustices and tragedies, into the new life of Christ, and a renewed, deeper faith and commitment to His good news, to His values, so wonderfully and perfectly lived out in His life and death and resurrection.

He gives us life and life to the full.

Perhaps make some important decisions now. Not so that it's too hard or too easy, but even reflect on the last few weeks of Lent. What does it look like Jesus is trying to do in your life, so that in three weeks time, you will be ready to celebrate the season of the resurrection, which isn't just about experiencing a banquet or relaxation of penances, but is meant to be a time of interior conversion, where Jesus makes you transformed to live more in his presence.
