Welcome Blake Treinen, pitcher for the Dodgers! 

Blake Treinen and Blake Hassebrock played professional baseball together! Blake shares what it was like knowing and being friends with Blake Treinen back then. Treinen didn’t care to be a popular guy, he just listened to God and was obedient. He talks about his struggles over the years trying to balance living in the secular world and fitting in, versus living fully as a Christian. 

Hassebrock and Treinen discuss the challenges Treinen faced through high school and the beginning of his college career - type two diabetes, bullying, rejection, and more… Treinen took time off of baseball, which is quite odd for professional baseball players. 

Hassebrock and Treinen dive deep into Treinen’s baseball career and journey to the big leagues. When Treinen faced troubles and rejection, he saw God working in his life and knew that God was still calling him to baseball. Even through breaking his back pitching, he still went back to baseball. 

Treinen and Hassebrock talk about the issues rising against Christianity. Individuals are attacking and discriminating against Christians. The Dodgers aren’t defending their Christian players, so Treinen states that they chose business above morals in this move. God never loses. At the end of the day, God will have justice.  Blake is respecting the situation and isn’t bringing up the actions of others, but he made his statement and is moving on from it. While he could’ve been fired for his statement, he needed to voice it and he even thinks that many Christians will appreciate it.
