  • 0vercoming Fear & Self-Doubt

Have you ever wanted to move forward with something, but found yourself overthinking every possible outcome?

You've tried things before, and they didn't work out the way you hoped. You've experienced disappointment, questioned whether you heard God correctly, or started doubting yourself because of everything you've already been through.

And now, even when an opportunity comes along, a part of you is afraid to try again.

What if I get it wrong? What if I fail? What if I'm not ready? What if I'm moving ahead of God? Or what if I'm waiting on Him when He's actually waiting on me?

I've wrestled with these questions myself, and honestly, sometimes it can feel like you're going in circles.

In this episode of Faith in the Waiting, I'm opening up about my own struggles with fear and self-doubt, especially in this season of rebuilding my foundation with God and learning to seek Him first.

We're talking about what it looks like to trust God when you're afraid, how our past experiences can affect the way we approach the future, and how to navigate the tension between waiting on God's direction and being afraid to move.

Because sometimes we don't feel capable enough. Sometimes we want more confirmation before we do anything. And sometimes, if we're honest, we wonder whether our fear is protecting us or holding us back.

Through God's Word, we'll look at what Scripture teaches us about fear, courage, and trusting God when we don't have all the answers.

You don't have to have everything figured out to bring your fears to God.

I'm still learning this myself. I'm learning that faith doesn't mean I'll never feel afraid, and trusting God doesn't mean I'll always know exactly what to do. But I can keep seeking Him, asking for wisdom, and learning to trust Him even when I'm uncertain.

So if you've been questioning yourself, feeling afraid to try again, or wondering how to move forward when you don't know what the outcome will be, this episode is for you.

Let's learn to bring our fear to God instead of letting it make our decisions for us.

Welcome back to Faith in the Waiting, promised one. 🤍

  • Battling Identity & Comparison

Have you ever looked at someone else's life and, without even meaning to, started questioning your own?

You see the doors opening. The prayers being answered. The relationships, the breakthroughs, the purpose, the confidence in their faith.

And you're genuinely happy for them… but somewhere inside, you find yourself wondering:

    God, what about me?

Why does their journey seem so clear when mine feels so uncertain? Why does it seem like some people hear from You so easily, while I'm still trying to understand what You're doing in my own life?

And how do I hold on to who I am when the life I thought I was building no longer looks the way I imagined?

In this episode of Faith in the Waiting, we're getting honest about identity, comparison, and what it really means to know who you are in Christ when life doesn't look the way you thought it would.

Because sometimes, comparison goes deeper than wanting what someone else has.

Sometimes it's what happens when the things we thought defined us are stripped away, when we're questioning our purpose, or when we're watching everyone else move forward while we feel like we're standing still.

    I've wrestled with this too.

I've looked at people who seem confident in their faith, who receive answers and confirmations, and who appear to be walking in the very things I've been praying for. And I've had to be honest with God about the questions that come with that.

But I'm learning that someone else's journey is not the measure of mine.. and their blessings are not evidence that God has forgotten me.

Together, we're exploring what it means to build our identity on Christ rather than our accomplishments, circumstances, relationships, or timelines. We'll talk about how comparison can quietly affect our relationship with God, how to recognize it without condemning ourselves, and how to bring our eyes back to what is true.

We'll also look at what Scripture teaches us about being made new in Christ, belonging to God, and following Him without measuring our lives against someone else's.

Because the goal isn't to become a woman who never notices what is happening around her. It's to become a woman who can celebrate what God is doing in someone else's life without losing sight of who she is in Him.

You don't have to become someone else to become who God created you to be.

If you've been feeling behind, questioning your identity, or wondering why your walk with God looks different from someone else's, I hope this conversation reminds you that your worth isn't determined by how quickly your life comes together.

You are His before the answer comes. Before the door opens. Before you figure it all out.

And even here, in the middle of becoming, you are His.

  • Experiencing Disappointment With God

Learning to Trust Him When Things Don't Go the Way You Hoped

What do you do when you're disappointed with God?

Maybe you prayed, believed, waited, and thought you were seeing confirmation after confirmation… only for things to unfold completely differently than you expected.

    And now you're left wondering:

    What happened?

    Did I hear God wrong?
Did I misunderstand what He was doing?
Why didn't He answer the way I thought He would?
And can I really trust Him again?

In this episode of Faith in the Waiting, we're talking about one of the hardest emotions to admit when you're walking with God: disappointment.

I've experienced it in business, career, relationships, and in the waiting seasons where I truly believed something was going to change—only to watch the time pass and realize that nothing had changed at all.

And I've had to wrestle with what that disappointment does inside of me.

Because disappointment isn't just about not getting what we wanted.

Sometimes it can make us question whether we heard God correctly.
It can make us afraid to hope again.
It can make us protect our hearts from getting hurt.
And if we're not careful, it can slowly create distance between us and the very God we're trying to trust.

But what if disappointment doesn't have to become distance?

What if we can bring the honest, messy, painful parts of our hearts to God and allow Him to meet us there?

In this episode, we're going deeper than simply learning how to “get over” disappointment. We're talking about what disappointment can reveal, how it can affect our faith, and what it can look like to continue trusting God when His plans don't look anything like what we expected.

Because I don't want a faith that only works when God does what I thought He would do.

I want to know Him—even when I don't understand Him.

If you've ever been disappointed with God, questioned whether you heard Him correctly, or found yourself afraid to hope again…

    this episode is for you.

You can be disappointed and still draw near.
You can be confused and still believe.
You can grieve what didn't happen and still trust the One who holds your life.

  • Okay... What's Next?

What do you do when you’ve been praying, trusting, surrendering, and doing your best to follow God… but you still don’t know what’s next?

Maybe you thought by now you'd have the answer.

Maybe you thought God would have made the direction clearer.

Maybe you're doing everything you know to do... and you're still waiting.

    So… what now?

In this short but important episode of Faith in the Waiting, we're shifting the conversation.

The first two episodes were about recognizing the reality of the waiting season and the emotions that can come with it. But I don't want us to stay there.

At the same time, I don't want to give you another formula telling you to “just take the next step” when you genuinely don't know what the next step is.

What if you don't have to know yet?

What if trusting God sometimes means being willing to live with unanswered questions without trying to manufacture an answer?

What if the goal isn't always to figure out what's next…

but to stay close to God while you don't know?

In this episode, we're talking about what it looks like to trust God when He hasn't shown you the whole picture, to hold the things He hasn't revealed with open hands, and to remain faithful with what He has revealed.

    Because you may not know:

    What's next for your career.
    What's next in your relationship.
    What's next financially.
    What's next for your purpose.
When the prayer will be answered.
    When the promise will come.

But you can still know Who you're walking with.

And this episode is the bridge into everything we're going to unpack together from here—disappointment, fear and self-doubt, relationships and singleness, comparison, unanswered prayers, obedience, purpose, money, career, hearing God's voice, trusting God's timing, and so much more.

You don't have to have all the answers.

You don't even have to know what's next.

You just don't have to walk through the unknown alone.

Welcome back to Faith in the Waiting. 🤍

Let's talk about what happens when you ask God, “Okay… what's next?”

  • My Story: I Thought God Was Taking Me Somewhere

What do you do when you were so sure that God was leading you somewhere… but your life currently looks nothing like what you thought He promised?

Maybe you've had dreams for your life for years.

You thought you'd be further along by now.
You thought the doors would have opened.
You thought the prayers would have been answered.
You thought you'd understand why God was asking you to wait.

And then somehow, instead of moving forward…

    you found yourself moving backwards.

    That's where I've been.

In this episode, I'm taking you much deeper into my own waiting season, and honestly, this is the part of my story I don't think I've ever shared like this before.

I've had dreams since I was 19 about the life I wanted to build, the impact I wanted to make, the financial freedom I believed would give me the ability to help others, and the person I believed I would become.

I thought I'd be financially free by 25.

    I'm 32 now.

And my life does not look the way I thought it would.

I've changed careers. I've tried businesses. I've questioned my purpose.

    I've questioned myself.

I've questioned whether I actually heard God.

I've had seasons where I felt like I was losing everything instead of gaining anything.

I've had to surrender dreams I spent years building.

    And I've had to wait.

I've had to learn how to keep walking with God when I don't understand what He's doing.

But somewhere in the middle of all of that, I realized something:

Maybe God wasn't just asking me to wait for my life to change.
Maybe He was using the waiting to change me. To break the old me, and then rebuild me.

This episode is about the messy middle.. the space between what you believed God would do and what you can actually see right now.

And I'm still learning. I still have questions.

What if I made all of this up?
What if I heard God wrong?
    What if I wasted years?
What if I missed my opportunity?

I don't have perfect answers to those questions.

But I'm learning that I don't need to know everything God is doing in order to keep walking with Him.

So if you're waiting for marriage, a child, healing, financial breakthrough, direction, purpose, restoration, or simply wondering “God, what are You doing?”…

    this episode is for you.

Because maybe the waiting isn't just the space between where you are and where you're going.

Maybe God is doing some of His deepest work there. Let's talk about it.

  • The Part Of The Waiting Nobody Talks About

What if the hardest part of waiting on God isn’t the waiting itself… but everything that happens inside of you while you’re waiting?

    The questions.
    The uncertainty.
    The comparison.
The feeling that you’re falling behind while everyone else seems to be moving forward.

Maybe you thought you’d be further along by now. Maybe you thought you’d be married, further in your career, closer to your purpose, financially in a different place, or simply living the life you imagined for yourself.

And you love God. You pray. You trust Him. You want His will.

But if you’re being honest… you don’t always understand what He’s doing.

You may have wondered if you missed God. If you heard Him wrong. If you’re wasting time. If you’re doing something wrong. Or if the life you’re praying for is ever actually going to happen.

I’ve wrestled with these questions too.

In this very first episode of Faith in the Waiting, I’m sharing a little about who I am, why I felt led to create this podcast, and the season of life that brought me here.

But more importantly, I’m introducing you to the woman this podcast was created for.

The woman who loves God but feels stuck.
The woman who is trying to trust God’s timing but doesn’t understand it.
    The woman who feels behind.
The woman who is becoming, even when she can’t see what she’s becoming yet.

Because maybe there’s a part of the waiting that nobody talks about…

and maybe you’re not the only one living it.

Welcome to Faith in the Waiting. 🤍

    We’re in this together.
