MESSAGE NOTES:
If we’re offended, disappointed and wonder why God isn’t, hasn’t or didn’t answer or move like we hoped, here are things that we can anchor ourselves in when the storms rage and when there are more questions than answers.
1. We must declare and anchor our hope in the truth that God is good and the devil is bad
a. When bad things happen, people often blame God, but forget that the enemy seeks to steal kill and destroy
b. God does not “will” everything that happens to us, but His will can be found in everything that does happen to us
2. Freedom comes when we can truly release everything to God
a. Not saying this is easy, but it’s a must
3. Be very aware of what comes out of our mouths; learn to make biblical declarations over our situations and not complaints and curses
a. Ex. “if this is God’s anointing, I don’t want it…”
4. Be honest about our feelings, but reject the temptation to be offended by our earthly circumstances
5. And lastly, do not allow my experiences to govern the Word of God
a. We cannot lower God’s Word to our limited experiences
b. The Word of God will trump our experiences if we trust in Him
