Hello YouTube family, and a special welcome to all of you who are joining us for the first time. Hope you enjoy this 16th episode in our channel, "Let There Be Faith." Here in John chapter 16, Jesus opens up the chapter by briefly letting His disciples know of the troubles and persecution that await. He tells them that it is good that He leaves so that the advocate, Holy Spirit, will come. He let's them know that He has much to tell them but it is more than they can bear. So, rather than going into the depth of it, Jesus makes known the Holy Spirit's workings and how He will operate. Afterwards, Jesus went on to say "In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me." By this point, the disciples are left puzzled and resolve to asking Him questions. At first Jesus spoke through parables, but foreshadowing what is to come, Jesus decides to break it down and speak to them more plainly. Jesus let's them know of a few mysteries and actual events that will take place in the coming days and soon enough, His disciples begin to believe more in the words that Jesus spoke. Jesus prophetically tells them that they will all scatter on that day, but not to worry because the heavenly Father is always with Him. Jesus ends the chapter by triumphantly reminding His disciples, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Be sure to like, share, and subscribe for more content!
