Two mothers, two countries, three children each, killed on the same day of the same month.

Application: The psalm is a national inventory, written by people looking back at what their own country did and naming it without softening the language. Two things sit in it that the modern conversation keeps separate. The children were sacrificed to something, and the land itself absorbed the consequence. That is the frame Malaine is working from when she connects a region's rates to a principality holding ground there. Read the whole psalm and notice what breaks the cycle every time it appears, which is somebody standing in the gap and crying out rather than somebody despairing at the numbers.

Soul fragmentation came out of the occult, and it still works on Christians.

Leah & Malaine both came out of the New Age, so they recognise the vocabulary on sight. Soul loss, soul retrieval, soul parts, soul contracts. It sits in Kabbalah, in Egyptian texts, in ancient Chinese sources, in shamanic practice, and Leah taught versions of it herself for years. The kingdom of darkness builds real weapons, and as Malaine says on-mic, the Holy Spirit does not heal anybody on the back of a lie.

Which is where the trouble starts. Revelation 18 is a cargo manifest, and the King James ends it with slaves and souls of men, and that phrase has quietly become the proof text for soul trading in deliverance ministries. Leah got a check in her spirit about it, went after the Greek, and came back with something that took Malaine's own position apart on air. Malaine brought the topic in expecting an easy episode and says she was certain right up until she wasn't. Then they got into Ezekiel 13 that actually runs the other direction and turns out to be far more occult than the King James lets on.

Underneath all of it is the argument these two keep circling. The kingdom of darkness disciples its people by the age of twelve, in the natural and in the spirit, while the church runs another feel good conference. Standing on a verse that will not hold hands free ammunition to everybody already working to discredit deliverance ministry. Extra-biblical is not unbiblical. This is part one, and part two will go after blood libel and a covert economy in children, all backed by Bible of course.

Application: Read that in the King James and it sounds like a complaint about upholstery. Read it in the NET or the ESV and it is a paid ritual practice, run by a class of practitioners inside God's own people, hunting human beings with objects strapped to wrists and heads. God does not argue with them. He tears the implements off their arms and lets the hunted go. Whatever is happening in the world you are reading about right now, the response in the text is not a debate about whether it is real. It is a removal.

Forecasting your own retaliation attack is a spell, and it gets spoken in church every week.

Leah and Malaine both came to Jesus out of the New Age, where a practitioner is trained to recall a negative word the second it leaves her mouth. That training was lifted from something God wrote first, and the hosts walk it back to Proverbs 23:7, Proverbs 18:21, and Ezekiel prophesying over a valley of dry bones. From there they get into the retaliation language moving through the body of Christ, where believers announce coming attacks over themselves and over each other, then read the fallout as proof of a powerful calling.

Application: The verse puts the thought life upstream of everything else. What a person rehearses on the inside becomes what that person is, which means the running commentary about coming attacks is doing work long before any attack arrives. Malaine reads this one on-mic to answer the charge that speaking over your own life belongs to prosperity gospel, and the text simply does not allow that dismissal. Take stock of what you have been rehearsing about your next season, out loud and under your breath. Then take it to the Father and ask Him what He says about it, because His account of your future is the one with authority behind it.

Augustine of Hippo read Greek badly, and the Western church ran with his interpretation and still reads Genesis 6 his way.

That is why most pastors skip the four verses where the sons of God take human wives, and it is where Leah Steele Barnett, Malaine Lea Butler and Jenny Embrey opened the first Supernatural Bible Session. Leah reads Genesis 6:1-4 from the NKJV and teaches it from the divine council view: two hundred Watchers descending in the days of Jared under a leader named Semjaza, the binding oath they swore to each other on Mount Hermon, and the exchange that followed, heavenly knowledge and technology traded to fathers for their daughters.

The case gets built inside the Protestant canon first, through Numbers 13:33, Deuteronomy 2 and 3, Jude 6 and 7, and 2 Peter 2:4-5, then carried into 1 Enoch and Jubilees for the context Genesis assumes the reader already has. Where demons come from according to Enoch 15, Mastema's bargain for a tenth of them in Jubilees, why Nephilim reads giants in the Septuagint, the Latin Vulgate and the Aramaic, why the Sethite view has no answer for the angels held in chains, and why the Ethiopian church walked out in 471 AD carrying its manuscripts to the monasteries. The session closes in prayer over every child connected to the room.

Genesis 6:1-4

"Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years. There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown." (NKJV)

Application: Four verses carry a story the rest of the Bible assumes its reader already knows. The sons of God, bene ha'elohim in the Hebrew, is the phrase used everywhere else in scripture for heavenly beings, and the giants appear in those days and also after that, which is the line that sends a reader forward to Numbers 13 and Deuteronomy 3 asking how any of them stood on the earth after the flood. Genesis records the event and moves on, leaving the descent, the oath and the origin of what came out of those unions to the texts the Second Temple readers held in their hands. That silence is why the session travels through Jude, 2 Peter, 1 Enoch and Jubilees before it closes.

The New Age works. It runs on principles God wrote, used without Him.

Leah and Malaine had the crystals, the Buddhas, the tarot decks, and two businesses built on top of new age and occult practices, with clients still paying and a year of commitments to wind down. Leah cried out to God from the floor of an apartment in Porto in August 2023, surrounded by sheets of white paper with every part of her life written on them, and heard two instructions back. Application: This is the verse Leah and Malaine come back to constantly, and it is the whole method of this episode. God conceals things on purpose, and the concealing is an invitation with your name on it. The honour sits in the searching, which makes the questions people are afraid to ask about yoga or astrology or muscle testing the assignment itself. It also sets the pace. A king searches a matter out slowly, with counsel, in the word, over as long as it takes. Put the thing down while you search, and let Him keep it hidden for as long as He wants to.

Wendy Nelson is a nurse of twenty five years who married the love of her life in December 2010 and found out she had married into a war most churches say is not happening. In 2019 Lorne fell down the stairs, and Wendy says he was pushed. Application: Wendy points to Ezekiel when she explains soul hunting, and this is the passage where God names the practice out loud and then goes after the people running it. The pillows and veils in Ezekiel 13 are working tools, sewn by practitioners who were hunting souls for profit inside the covenant community. God does not debate whether it is real. He says He is against it, He tears it off their arms, and He lets the captives go. That is the pattern the whole episode is built on, and it is the reason Wendy can sit across from a survivor and say the darkness does not last.

Hosea 4:6. God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, and rejected knowledge carries consequences into the next generation.

Ezekiel 13:17-23. God confronts practitioners who hunt souls with charms and veils, and declares He will free the ones they captured.

Exodus 20:5-6. The iniquity of the fathers is visited to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Him, with mercy to thousands who love Him.

Exodus 34:6-7. God declares Himself merciful and gracious, and names the same generational reach of iniquity.

Numbers 14:18. The Lord is longsuffering and of great mercy, visiting iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generation.

Ezekiel 18:20. The soul that sins shall die, and the son does not bear the iniquity of the father.

People pass rattlesnakes down the pew because of twelve verses somebody added.

Every Bible in print today is a copy of a copy of a copy. No original manuscript exists anywhere on earth. So when someone says the Bible is the infallible word of God, Leah and Malaine want to ask the obvious follow-up question: which Bible, and which version?

This episode walks through what actually happened to the text. Twelve verses added to the end of Mark that produced snake-handling churches. A Trinity verse that appears in no early Greek manuscript. A King James translator who ran out of Greek and filled the gap by translating backwards from Latin. What the Council of Nicaea was actually about. And why the doctrine of infallibility traces back to Paul describing a collection of writings that did not yet include the New Testament.

• Every Bible in existence is a copy of a copy. No original manuscripts survive, which means every version you can buy is the product of translation decisions somebody made.

• Modern readers have access to roughly 5,800 Greek manuscripts, plus Codex Sinaiticus found in 1844, Codex Vaticanus, and the Dead Sea Scrolls from 1947. None of it existed for the KJV translators.
• Paul is the source of the infallibility doctrine, and he was describing the Septuagint. The New Testament had not been written when he wrote it.
• Be cautious with study Bible commentary. Most English Bible footnotes trace back to the Scofield Reference Bible, which carried a political agenda.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Application: John identifies the Word as a person before anyone bound a page. Scripture points to Him, carries His voice, and gets used by God to speak, and it was never meant to occupy the seat that belongs to Jesus. Holding the text with open hands rather than a clenched fist changes nothing about its power. It simply keeps the object of worship where it belongs.

Historical and Textual References

Codex Sinaiticus. A fourth century Greek manuscript containing the oldest complete New Testament in existence. Found at St. Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai in 1844, long after the King James translators had finished their work. It ends Mark at chapter 16 verse 8.

Codex Vaticanus. A fourth century Greek manuscript held in the Vatican Library and one of the two oldest near-complete Bibles known. It sat inaccessible to outside scholars for centuries. It also ends Mark at verse 8.

Erasmus and the Textus Receptus. Erasmus published a printed Greek New Testament in 1516 using six or seven manuscripts he could physically obtain, most from the twelfth century and none older than the tenth. That edition became the basis of the Textus Receptus, the Greek text behind the King James Version.

Irenaeus. A bishop writing around 180 AD. Scholars use his quotations to date when passages were already circulating, and he quotes from the longer ending of Mark, which places its addition sometime in the second century.

The Dead Sea Scrolls. Manuscripts found in caves near Qumran starting in 1947, containing the oldest known copies of Hebrew scripture. They pushed the available evidence back roughly a thousand years.

The Septuagint. The Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures made a few centuries before Christ. It was the version most New Testament writers quoted, and it is what Paul was describing when he wrote about scripture being God-breathed.

The Scofield Reference Bible. Published in 1909 by C.I. Scofield, the first widely distributed study Bible to print interpretive notes beside the text. Its footnotes shaped most English study Bible commentary that followed.

The Ethiopian canon. The biblical canon of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the largest in Christianity at roughly 81 books. It includes Enoch and Jubilees, which other traditions removed.

John 1:1, 14. The Word was with God, was God, and became flesh.

Mark 16:8. The women flee the empty tomb, where the oldest manuscripts end the gospel.

Mark 16:17-18. Believers will take up serpents and drink deadly things unharmed.

1 John 5:7-8. The three that bear record in heaven, absent from early Greek manuscripts.

Revelation 22:19. The KJV reads book of life where Greek manuscripts read tree of life.

Open your Bible this week and read the footnotes you have been skipping. Most modern translations already bracket Mark 16:9-20 and flag 1 John 5:7. The information has been sitting in your own Bible the whole time.

Sexual assault allegations against GeorDavie surfaced this week, along with Kathryn Krick's response to them, and it changed the shape of a conversation Leah and Malaine had already started. This week on The Fringe Files they work through what came out, why the church name changed when it did, and the question underneath all of it: whether a healing from the wrong kingdom carries a price that comes due later.

The ladies also cover the death of Joe Felz that came days before he planed to release an archive of early Bibles with the full apocrypha attached. • Court filings unsealed in Bartz v. Anthropic describe Project Panama, an internal effort to destructively scan books at scale. Spines are cut off, pages are fed through high-speed scanners, and the paper is discarded.
• A defensive, angry reaction to a sincere question is worth examining in yourself. God invites questions and welcomes childlike curiosity, and shutting people down is what drives them out of the body entirely.

Matthew 24:24

"For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect."

Application: Jesus assumed the signs would be real. He never suggested the counterfeits would be obvious or easy to spot, and he said the target would be the elect, meaning people who love him and are genuinely trying to follow. A crowd, a healing, and a manifestation prove nothing about the source. That is precisely why this warning came from Jesus himself, and why his words carry more weight here than any teaching built on top of them.

A child in constant fear has no energy left to grow, so the brain builds a compartment around the memory, and that compartment can become a separate identity. It exists on a spectrum from a mood shift to full personalities with different voice patterns and eye color.

• Freemasonry in a bloodline can bring charisma down the line, meaning the occult can operate through someone unknowingly and without any personal involvement.
• The modern church elevates charismatic gifting and biblical knowledge above wholeness and healing. A radical salvation can deliver someone from drug dependency while the multi-layered soul issue underneath stays untouched and leaks out elsewhere.
• Say that someone is operating in witchcraft rather than saying they are a witch. Satan means accuser of the brethren, and identity statements create alienation that keeps people from seeking healing.
• The people most qualified to dismantle dark structures are often the ones who were programmed to build them. They earned that spiritual authority through suffering, which makes their healing frontline kingdom work.

Application: Dr. Robin points out that peace and joy are the two highest frequency emotional states available to a human being, and that brain science shows we are wired for both. Application: This is the verse Sarah Beth ran everything through while living in a place where spiritual practice was woven into ordinary life. Testing a spirit requires one honest question: where is this leading me? The answer usually arrives quietly, as a check in your spirit that you can honor or talk yourself out of. Most people talk themselves out of it, and that is where the erosion begins.
