Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

There’s a single Greek word from this text that I believe changes everything, and it’s a supporting foundation stone for true discipleship - It is the word for "yoke"—Zygos.

Questions from Luke 24 to apply to your life right now:

#1 - "Why do we panic when our personal plans fall apart?"

#2 - "Is Christ the hero of your story, or are you trying to make Him a supporting character in yours?"

#3 - "If I truly believe the end of my story was already written in Glory - that the final chapter is total restoration - how would that change the way I face this problem(s) right now?"

#4 - "Am I living like a victim of my circumstances, or like a character in the story whose Author has already guaranteed a BEAUTIFUL ending?"

In this episode we tackle the challenge of loving enemies and how we are called to forgive, pray and transform lives around us. This is never done to manipulate or seek out our own justice, instead it's so that God might enter into the conversation and change things!

If we’re starting this series on Foundations, we have to go to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:24-27. He says:

"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock."

Notice Jesus doesn't say "if" the storms come. He says when. The rain is a guarantee. The only variable is what you’re standing on.

Today we explore the Acts 2 church and how we as a body of believers need to become focused on sharing and loving one another as we expand our perspective of "Community".
