David and Pamela Mupenda are serving the Lord in Burundi and other parts of Africa working with the International Christian Bible Reading. God gave them the burden in their hearts to minister to the people who are hungry for God. In 1993 God opened a door and David joined Nairobi Bible College and he met his beautiful wife while he was there. They graduated in 1996, they were married in 1997 and God blessed them with three children. In 2012 David graduated from Holmes Bible College with a BA in missions and science. Pamela will graduate next year, 2013, in the area of missions and science as well. The outbreak of civil wars in Africa left many widows and orphans needing the ministry of the Word. Throughout the wars, they have been able to minister to the needy, including orphans and widows (with and without AIDS). Also they ministered to women and girls raped by rebels and soldiers. With God’s help, they started orphanages with 180 orphans currently getting free education in Burundi. They started a Bible college to train church leaders from different churches. They also evangelize the pygmies societies. The pygmies are the shortest people in the world who have never heard about Jesus. David and Pamela are the first missionaries to baptize the pygmies with water baptism in this region.
