How do we know we're hearing the voice of God? Many people ask how to know if what they're hearing/feeling is from God or from another source. One of the greatest ways to know if you're hearing from the Lord is to measure the message with the Bible. Knowing what God promises to do and not to do will help you discern if it's God who is speaking!

Christians are part of a Kingdom, we serve a King! While we live on the earth and answer to earthly authorities, God has the final say. Because of this, we don't need to fear anything here on the earth. The days ahead only get better and better because we belong to the Lord.

Have you been bound up by sickness or sin? Have you been fighting but cannot overcome the things that have had power over you? God has the ability to set you free! "Unto YOU is born this day in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord." Unto the rich and famous? Unto the ones who have it all together? No, the angelic announcement was made unto the misfits, the outcasts, the rejected members of society. Have you ever wondered about the shepherds that visited the baby Jesus? They were the first to hear about the birth of Jesus and the first to proclaim it to everyone! Let's take a look at these shepherds today and learn a little more about who they were and why it's so important that they are included in the Nativity story.

I believe what you'll find is that the nativity scenes we look at in all their beauty and calmness are a lot different from the depiction we read about in scripture. This year, while we're under pressure, let's take a look at the original Christmas and remember that great things often come through great difficulty.
