St Paul defended the Gospel as not received from men but a revelation. To maintain its purity he confronted Peter who stopped eating with certain Jews who seemingly came from apostle James. Now, Paul is writing about the role of faith as the only basis for justification and links up how Abraham was justified by faith. All that is needed is Jesus plus nothing!
