A CRAZY HORSE. A DISABLED JOCKEY.
And a priest who won't give up on either of them.

Writing this third novel of the Laura Harper Trilogy has been a bitter-sweet experience, as it is also the final book of the Riding Out series. These three trilogies began in 2016 with Jack Harper’s journey back to the Catholic faith in “Riding Out the Devil,” and a lot has happened to him since then!

I have grown very fond of all the characters, and it will be hard to say goodbye to them.

As Agneta says, “Alles soll recht kommen.”  If you want to know what that means, you’ll need to grab yourself a copy of “Riding Out the Race”!

He would rather risk losing his vocation than lose his soul.

The clash between traditional Catholic teaching and its compromised modern equivalent reaches a climax in this novel by a multiple bestselling Amazon author.

My new novel, A Truthful Man, is going to surprise many of my regular readers. It's a big departure from my more light-hearted Christian equestrian romances and the Riding Out series. So what spurred me to write in this different genre?

You'll find out in this episode!

Owning a horse is a real joy - until he gets hurt. One minute he can be turned out in the field, the next, you're micromanaging his entire existence.

In this podcast I describe my current life as the owner of Cruz Bay now that he has torn the check ligament in his left leg. A total of six hours each day are spent on his recovery.

At the same time, I am grateful that his injury isn't worse. Other horses in the barn, and by extension their owners, are in much worse shape.

I've often wondered what would happen if I parked my horse and trailer outside the church, while I popped in for the Sunday service before continuing on to a horse show to save time.

Knowing my luck, this is how I imagine it would go down.

Not at all the way I intended.

When the author passes a camel running along a major highway in Lyon, France, her subsequent entanglement with the animal leads to unforeseen adventures, which result in a surprise ending - for her husband.

NOTE: This short fiction was born when the author really did drive past a camel on her way into Lyon. Not your everyday sight.

'NOTHER NOTE: When I was writing this tale, I discovered that the word for a female camel is 'naga.' I haven't been able to support it since, but the name has stuck with me - and therefore to the story. Apparently, a lady camel is a 'cow,' which doesn't  quite conjure the same magic, does it?

WARNING: There are no horses in this one. Sorry.
