You can go to church. Read your Bible. Pray every day. Serve in ministry. Do everything right.. And still be completely off.

Not because you're not trying. But because you're doing it for the wrong reason. And that one thing — the motive behind everything — is exactly what most Christians never stop to check.

Jesus lived by a single question. Every teaching. Every miracle. Every moment of opposition. He ran it all through the same filter.

And when you understand what that question is — and start asking it yourself — everything in your life begins to realign.

John 7:16-18 breaks it open. "My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory. But he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth." — John 7:16-18

If Jesus completed it.. why does it still feel like a fight? You accepted Christ. You're reading your Bible. You're trying. And yet the same battles are still showing up.

There's a difference between being crushed and being pressed. Between being destroyed and being struck down. You're not broken. You're being built. "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed. Perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not abandoned. Struck down, but not destroyed." — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Personal pressure.This is not distant warfare.

This is the kind of battle that gets in your face, gets in your thoughts, gets in your house, gets in your emotions.

Flesh and blood Greek idea: sarx kai haima This speaks of human beings in natural human weakness.

Paul is saying our battle is not ultimately against human persons in their earthly condition. Against the rulers Greek: archas from archē This means first ones, chief rulers, beginnings, principal powers.

These are high-ranking spiritual influences. Against the powers of this dark world Greek: kosmokratoras tou skotous Kosmokratoras means world-rulers.

Not world owners, but darkness that tries to dominate systems, cultures, atmospheres, and mindsets. Skotous means darkness, obscurity, blindness.

Against the spiritual forces of evil Greek: ta pneumatika tēs ponērias Pneumatika means spiritual beings or spiritual things.

Ponērias means wickedness, active evil, corrupt malice.
