Would you agree that as humans one of the most difficult parts of life is waiting? Waiting for the next breakthrough, waiting for the next vacation, waiting for the results, waiting for the date on the calendar, waiting for the call, waiting for the change, waiting in line, waiting on them, waiting on it…waiting waiting…it’s easy to hate the wait isn’t it and I think I have discovered why we tend to hate waiting!

We are actually going to continue with our topic from last week, but branch off in a slightly different direction. I woke up one morning thinking about what I could write in a devotional that would do justice to this special day, and God prompted my heart to simply go with the words that had already been written to honour it. The birth of our saviour Jesus Christ. The Christmas Story. And so that is what I am going to do today, I am going to read directly from the gospels.
