Tired of all the bad news? There's so much in today's world to make us anxious, angry & discontented. This week Pastor Rich begins a new series on the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119.  Nearly every verse in this Psalm references the Word of God.   In today's passage, Psalm 119:1-8, we will find the key to happiness.

Have you ever wondered why the Bible's view of the creation of everything is so different from the dominant theory of evolution?

What matters most to you in your life? Is it family, possessions, wealth, power, health? In our final look at Galatians, Paul encourages us to put all of our confidence in what Jesus has done for us. Find your greatest joy in Jesus Christ, and point to Him with everything you have.

Galatians 6:11-18

When you plant tomatoes, you don't expect watermelons to grow.  We often get frustrated with God because we're planting one thing yet hoping for another.  If we "plant" lies, chaos, destruction and brokenness, we reap more of the same back in our lives - yet if we plant love, joy peace etc... we will reap these.   In today's passage, Paul encourages us to keep pressing on.  Keep serving Christ.  We will reap what we sow, but the reaping happens in God's timing, not ours.  - Galatians 6:6-10

The Christian life should be one of liberty - by the grace of God, under the Holy Spirit's control.  But what happens when something causes us to stumble and lose our focus on Jesus and His control? Instead of living under the control of the Holy Spirit, we try to take control of the situation and often end up crushed under a weight that we're simply unable to bear.  Today Pastor Aaron will show us that Christians are to share the load of their burdens with each other through acts of love empowered by the Holy Spirit. - Galatians 6:1-5

Throughout this series looking at Galatians we've been reminded that our relationship with Jesus is not dependent on outward acts (such as baptism, communion, circumcision, doing good, etc...).  So how can we know that we're walking with Jesus?  Today Pastor Rich will show us how to know if the Holy Spirit is working in our lives from one of the most familiar passages of scripture that Paul wrote - Galatians 5:22-26.

Our actions can be broken down into only 2 groups:  those done through the power of the Spirit and those done through the power of our sinful, human flesh.  In Galatians 5:16-21 Paul breaks down the works of the flesh that infect our world with sin and all its consequences.  Today Pastor Rich will show us how we can overcome these evil desires through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Up to this point in Galatians, Paul has been hammering those who embrace the false idea of legalism - the idea that if I do right and act right then I will be right with God.  Now the attention turns to those who take the opposite view.  "If God forgives everything, then I can do anything I want."  Even though sin is no longer our master,  sometimes we abuse our freedom and return to our sin.  Today Pastor Rich will show us that more freedom you have, the more responsibility you have. - Galatians 5:13-15

Have you ever felt that you weren't good enough to do something? That's exactly what Paul is trying to get across to the church at Galatians. Through His death and resurrection, Christ has set us free from sin. We did nothing to earn forgiveness.

Today Pastor Rich will show us how to walk in the liberty that Christ has given us.
