It’s a battle, it’s a challenge – but it’s a fight worth fighting. Megan, Jessie and Brandee talk about homeschooling under the grace of God. They share the obstacles they’ve faced, and tools, tips, and strategies for overcoming them…
- How to respond to people who say, “Homeschooling? Bless, but I don’t have the patience for that!”
- Why the answer to “what is learning?” must include more than just academics – and what else it should include
- Managing your schedule well, and the advantages of NOT taking a break for summer – plus Brandee shares her planner template
- How to ensure that each child gets enough one-on-one time, without neglecting the others, and without them getting stuck
- Building contentment and self-control by teaching kids to play and learn by themselves – rather than requiring constant entertainment
Be encouraged in your own homeschooling struggles with this honest and insightful discussion from three veteran moms.
The ladies tackle one of the most painful topics to any mom: how our own heart attitudes set the atmosphere of our homes.
The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down. So how can we ensure we are building, not tearing? The ladies discuss the daily struggle of choosing to overcome evil with good, and serve Christ rather than self…
- How children pick up on our attitudes and mirror our own sins…plus how to correct them when you feel like a hypocrite because they learned it from you!
- Death and life in the power of the tongue – and two ways to ensure that life-giving words are always coming out of our mouths
- How nonverbal cues like eye-rolling or little sighs convey attitude, even when we manage to keep our mouths shut…plus how to develop the right body language
- How to regain your self-control when emotions are running high and you’re starting to spiral
Children don’t need a perfect mom – but they do need a mom who points them to their perfect savior. You’ll be encouraged to model Christlike attitude in your home, and lead your children to greater maturity in the faith.

Sibling relationships are the longest we’ll have in our lives – and they shape a child’s approach to all future relationships. So how do we move from sibling rivalry to sibling peace? The ladies discuss guiding children toward humility, patience, and maturity…cultivating a daily habit of choosing love and kindness…balancing forgiveness with healthy sibling boundaries…and forging relationships that last after leaving home. You’ll be encouraged with practical strategies to more intentionally help your children live in peace with each other.
What does it look like for kids to be spiritually and emotionally healthy – and how do you guide their hearts to that goal? The ladies discuss starting kids off well when they’re young, and helping them maintain a good heading into adulthood. They talk about avoiding helicopter parenting, the danger of being happy with the status quo, and how to expand a child’s horizons so they can fail safely – plus managing emotions, motivation, and walking with kids through seasons of spiritual lethargy. At the end, Brandee shares a tool for finding the perfect Bible verse for every issue, and Megan reveals a book about intentional biblical parenting.
Are boys really made of snips and snails and puppy-dogs’ tails…and girls of sugar and spice and all that’s nice? The ladies discuss the unique challenges of raising boys and raising girls. They share their biggest surprises…how they tackled things like cooking and repairing vehicles…what it looks like to cultivate strength in boys vs girls…the hardest things for moms with parenting boys…and how to get through the teenage years. You’ll be encouraged with navigating these issues – and staying grounded in the fundamentals of parenting that don’t change across the genders if you want your kids to reflect Christ.
Modern culture does not cherish the home, but God does. In Titus 2, He commands women to be keepers of their homes. The ladies discuss how seeking to obey this command looks in their own lives. They share their favorite – and least favorite – things…along with the tools they use to help them manage their homes…the goals and ideals they orient homemaking around…and tips, tricks, and tactics to breathe extra life into chores, meals, and general family life. You’ll be encouraged in working at stewarding a lovely home that you – and the children – delight to live in.
Is it really worth having family worship or Bible time? The ladies discuss what it is, what is it not, how they do family worship in their homes, and how it has changed over the years. They talk about frequency, the various elements they include, doing it with or without dad, and how to involve kids at different ages – especially when you have littles who can’t understand much, and more advanced older children. You’ll be encouraged to persevere with this worthy but messy practice in your own home!
Is it possible to raise godly kids without feeling like you’re constantly on the edge of a breakdown? Brandee, Jessie, and Megan get honest about the daily grind of discipleship, and share the practical rhythms that have kept their homes sane. They dig into schedules and visual timers, “blanket time” for littles, and teaching kids to work before they play. They also talk candidly about repentance, restoration, and why correction should never feel like rejection.
In a world where people are divorcing in huge numbers, how can we be moving in the opposite direction? The ladies discuss the hot topic of marriage troubles, sharing the lessons each has learned in many years of marriage, especially around communication and conflict, forgiveness and reconciliation…and what does (and doesn’t) work. Discover the Biblical strategies they have learned to slowly transform messiness and grief into beauty and love – and be encouraged to reexamine marriage as an invitation to become more like Jesus.
Well friends, we’ve come to the end of Season 1.
It’s been such a joy spending these weeks with you. We’ve talked about real life, real struggles, and the faithfulness of God through it all. Whether you’ve listened while folding laundry, driving kids around, or trying to find a quiet moment in a busy day, we’re so grateful you’ve been here with us.
One thing we’ve been reminded of again and again is that God is at work in the ordinary things. The little moments matter. The unseen acts of faithfulness matter. And the work He has given you today matters.
We’re going to take a short break, but we’ll be back soon with Season 2
We’ll be talking about marriage, raising children, family worship, homemaking, hospitality, and all the everyday joys and challenges that come with building a Christ-centered home.
Until then, keep your eyes on Christ. Keep being faithful in the place He’s called you. And remember, God is often doing His best work in the ordinary days.
We’ll see you soon.

We talk about faith, marriage, motherhood, calling, and the quiet (and not-so-quiet) chaos of ordinary days. Not from a place of having it all together—but from the middle of it. If you’re longing for encouragement, truth, laughter, and the reminder that you’re not alone—even when it feels like you are—this space is for you.
