  • Faithful Encounters | Cowboy Preacher Greg Hunt

Cowboy Preacher Greg Hunt returns to the Faithful Warriors Podcast with DeWayne to share what happened during an incredible twenty day ministry journey filled with rodeo Bible camps, Native American communities, unexpected obstacles, answered prayers, and moments Greg can only describe as the hand of God.

This year’s journey carried special meaning as Greg’s wife joined him for the first time in seventeen years. Together, they traveled into communities including the Crow Reservation in Montana, bringing the Gospel through Cowboy Life Ministry and creating opportunities to reach children and families through rodeo Bible camps.

But getting there was only the beginning.

Greg shares what happened when they arrived at one camp expecting an arena and instead found knee high grass with no dirt ready for the event. With 65 children coming and time running out, they prayed and trusted God with what they could not fix themselves. Hours before the camp began, trucks started arriving with the materials they needed.

And that wasn’t the only moment that left them standing in awe.

Greg recounts praying over donated logs and later finding them delivered exactly where they had prayed for them to be. He also shares the unforgettable testimony of Juliet Rose, a young woman who stood before the crowd and told a story marked by tremendous hardship, faith, and redemption. As she spoke and sang, the weather unfolding around them created a moment Greg and those gathered there will not soon forget.

This episode isn’t about coincidence or having everything go according to plan. It’s about obedience, trusting God when you cannot see how something is going to work, and recognizing the moments when His provision becomes impossible to ignore.

Sometimes faith means taking the next step before you know how God is going to provide the rest.

  • The Mission Didn’t End | VetOnTheMic

The Mission Didn’t End | VetOnTheMic

After 23 years in the Air Force and 21 deployments, VetOnTheMic walked away from the uniform, but not from a life of service. The question was what that service would look like next.

In this episode of the Faithful Warriors Podcast, DeWayne sits down with VetOnTheMic, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, for an honest conversation about military service, identity, transition, faith, humor, and finding purpose beyond the uniform.

Inspired by his father, a Vietnam veteran who served during a time when returning service members were often met with little appreciation, VetOnTheMic knew early in life that military service was a path he wanted to pursue. That decision led to a 23 year career that included 21 deployments and nearly 13 years overseas, along with experiences that shaped not only the Airman he became, but the person he is today.

But eventually, every service member faces a day the military can't fully prepare them for: the day the uniform comes off.

VetOnTheMic shares what it was really like stepping into civilian life after more than two decades of having a defined mission and how faith, family, humor, and connection helped him navigate what came next. He also talks about finding a new way to serve through social media, using comedy and real conversations to connect with veterans and build a community where people can laugh, talk about life, and know they aren't alone.

There are plenty of laughs in this conversation, but underneath the humor is something much deeper. Military service may always be part of your story, but taking off the uniform doesn't mean your purpose disappears with it.

The mission can change without the mission being over.

  • Sad Team Six: Chris Snyder’s Fight for Life

Sad Team Six: Chris Snyder’s Fight for Life

What happens when the person trained to save everyone else reaches a point where they can no longer see a way to save themselves?

In this powerful episode of the Faithful Warriors Podcast, DeWayne Brown sits down with Chris Snyder, a former career firefighter who spent more than 15 years serving others while quietly carrying the accumulated weight of trauma and stress.

In January 2024, Chris reached a breaking point and survived a suicide attempt. What followed became the beginning of a different fight. After psychiatric treatment, Chris entered the IAFF Center of Excellence, where he began confronting years of trauma and learning that asking for help wasn't weakness. It was necessary.

Chris opens up about PTS, suicide, EMDR therapy, and the first responder culture that often teaches people to "suck it up" and keep moving instead of talking about what they're carrying.

He also shares the story behind Sad Team Six, a brotherhood formed with fellow firefighters who understood the battle firsthand. Through honest conversations, shared experiences, and peer support, they discovered the power of having people beside you who truly understand.

This episode is for the firefighter, veteran, first responder, or anyone who has spent years being strong for everyone else while quietly struggling inside.

Chris Snyder's story is a powerful reminder that your darkest moment does not have to be the final chapter. There is strength in speaking up, strength in brotherhood, and hope on the other side of the battle.

  • The Fingerprint of Faith | Soda Pop Shane

The Fingerprint of Faith | Soda Pop Shane

What if the evidence of God's work in your life was already there, you just needed to recognize His fingerprints?

In this episode of the Faithful Warriors Podcast, DeWayne Brown sits down with Shane Swords, better known as Soda Pop Shane, for a powerful conversation about faith, obedience, purpose, and what can happen when someone simply becomes willing to be used by God.

After experiencing a spiritual awakening, Shane began sharing what became known as his "countertop sermons," speaking about Jesus from behind the counter of his local convenience store. What started as simple conversations with customers grew into opportunities to encourage people carrying addiction, brokenness, regret, and struggles that often remain hidden from everyone around them.

Shane's message is simple: you do not have to get your life cleaned up before coming to God. Your past does not disqualify you, your mistakes do not put you beyond His reach, and God can use your story to reach someone who may be walking through the same darkness you once knew.

Together, DeWayne and Shane discuss the importance of sharing your testimony, reaching people where they are, and using social media as a tool for the Gospel. Shane also shares how technology has opened doors to minister beyond his own community, including opportunities to share God's Word with people in Pakistan.

The conversation takes a deeper turn with the story of Baruch, the often overlooked scribe of the prophet Jeremiah. Baruch may not be one of the most recognized names in Scripture, but his faithfulness mattered. His story challenges us to recognize that Kingdom impact is not measured by recognition, followers, titles, or visibility. Sometimes the person faithfully serving behind the scenes is playing a much larger role in God's plan than they realize.

This episode is for anyone who has questioned whether their story matters, wondered if God could use them because of their past, or believed they needed a platform before they could make an impact. Shane's journey is a reminder that ministry can begin right where you are and that God's fingerprints can often be seen most clearly when we look back at where He has brought us from.

Kao shares the raw truth of his journey through hopelessness, brokenness, and a season where he believed there was no way forward.
