Thanksgiving and gratitude are mentioned three times in this passage. Having an attitude of gratitude, however, is not a simple step. It is a journey. The passage gives us a guidebook to the journey to an attitude of gratitude.

Despite its large size and the variety of the membership, the first church was a united church. That unity of heart and mind brought an amazing generosity. So generous were the members that they sacrificially gave by faith in God and helped provide the basic needs of everyone in the church. We need that unity, generosity, and faith!

The transformation that had taken place in Peter and John coupled with their boldness made the truth of the resurrection of Jesus Christ undeniable.
