Why is fake fat making the headlines again? In this special JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show Episode 1654, Jimmy talks about this troubling, but not surprising, new trend. “Babies have been breastfed forever, what makes us think in 2020 we have found the answer to a problem nobody knew existed before now?” - Jimmy Moore For those of us of a certain age, we remember back in the low-fat era a very interesting new product that was introduced primarily through potato chips. It was called Olestra and it promised to give us all the flavor of fat in a potato chip without all the calories and fat grams that were causing us to be fat and sick. It was promised to be a healthier option and so many Americans tried it. ⁣ ⁣ It didn’t take long for the stories to leak out (all pun intended) of explosive diarrhea and anal leakage after consuming this man-made fat. Not surprisingly, Olestra was taken off the market and we thought this would discourage any future fake fats from coming on the scene. If only we were that lucky. ⁣ We are all now realizing and experiencing the negative implications of destroying real food in our food supply. It’s why people are buying meat from local farmers and farmers markets. It’s why people have backyard chickens. And it’s why people seek out purchasing raw dairy legally (and it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to do that). ⁣ ⁣ In a couple of episodes of JIMMY RANTS, Jimmy shares about a couple of new startup biotech companies called BIOMILQ and new fake-fat company Epogee, companies backed by billionaires like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson, and Jeff Bezos who want to commercially manufacture fake breastmilk in a lab from human mammary glands to replace formula which they claim is harming the environment and global warming. They want to use the same technology to create “milk“ products that are a lot “healthier” than what is available today. The world is going mad and this is more evidence of it. ⁣
