1 Corinthians tells us that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty...That no flesh should glory in his presence. Unsurprisingly for the Christian, the flesh is opposed to this. And so we often become preocuppied with our own weakness, and what we believe to be unique disadvantages which handicap us from being anything for God.
In this episode we discuss examples of this from scripture from the lives of Moses and from the children of Israel that illustrate the fallacy of disadvantage. We contrast these with Joseph, Joshua and Caleb, to remind our hearts that in actual fact, the thing most characteristic thing of the true child of God is being an overcomer, not being overcome. Knowing our weakness, we should be driven not to despair, but to the omnipotence of our God.
