Loved the book!

Sandra Owens is a favorite author of mine. She writes well with great storylines. I can't help getting involved with her characters in each series/book.

Amy McFadden and Mikael Naramore are great narrators! Their performance is well done. Will keep listening/reading.

Saint Jerk

At first I liked Sugar, who seemed smart and sassy despite escaping a brutally abusive marriage. Sadly, Sugar deflated into a self-destructive wimp after meeting the brutish but hunky Saint Jamie.

I really didn't like Saint, who was searching for a boring, passive wife to serve as a brood mare for his future children. It was creepy how Saint bullied Sugar, even after learning that her ex-husband had almost beaten her to death.

It was unbelievable and degrading that a rape survivor was depicted as enjoying rough sex, giving the impression that women actually enjoy sexual assault. Saint did not respect women, Sugar did not respect herself, so their relationship could not have a HEA.

I didn't like it when the man imitated the women and visit viscera. The woman sounded like a idiot even after all the truth was out.

Sugar Darling is a fun interesting character. liked the plot and romance. warm and sweet
