Ian and Hannah take a look at some of the biggest new releases on UK streaming platforms for the week beginning Friday 12th April 2024, including:

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout (on Prime Video) is the story of haves and have nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, a peaceful denizen from a cozy fallout shelter is forced to return to the surface--and is shocked to discover the wasteland waiting for her.

Harriet (played by Lucy Boynton) discovers that certain songs have the power to transport her back in time—literally. As she relives romantic memories of her former boyfriend (David Corenswet), her time-traveling journey collides with a budding new love interest in the present (Justin H. Min). The hypnotic connection between music and memory prompts Harriet to ponder a crucial question: Even if she could change the past, should she? The Greatest Hits is a captivating original movie written and directed by Ned Benson, is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on April 12th, 2024.

Franklin is an upcoming biographical drama miniseries about the United States Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. It is based on Stacy Schiff’s 2005 book “A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America”. The series stars Michael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin and is scheduled to be released on Apple TV+ on April 12, 2024.

The Regime is a darkly comedic six-episode series that tells the story of life within the walls of a fictional European autocracy as it begins to unravel. Chancellor Elena Vernham (portrayed by Academy Award-winning Kate Winslet) leads this regime, but her dictatorship is showing cracks. She grows increasingly paranoid and unstable, eventually turning to a volatile soldier, Herbert Zubak (played by Matthias Schoenaerts), as an unlikely confidant. As Zubak’s influence over the chancellor grows, Elena’s attempts to expand her power result in both the palace and the country fracturing around her.
