The decision of Jesus to appoint twelve men as apostles was for godly purposes that impacted the world. How--1. They had Jesus as their companion- -2. They preached Jesus.-3. They had authority, together with Jesus.

1. Parents- -Hint- realize when-where God designed for parenting to take place. Deut.6-7.-Help- This is not a license to be an inescapable nag. Eph. 6-4-2. Grandparents--Hint- accept the amount of access to your grandkids, that God gave.-Help- yours is an assistant role. 2 Cor. 2-14-16. Aroma- -3. Parents- Hint- Make disciples of Jesus. Matthew 28-18-20 - Help- Be one yourself. Romans 2-28-29-4. Grandparents- -Hint- to give or NOT to give the parents advice. Pray, and go slow.-Help- a- give less advice than you think. b- accept the results. Col.3-20. -5. Parents- Hint- get some rest. -Help- come to Jesus to find it. Mt.11-28-30

Jesus withdrew, because of threats and hindrances to His life and His ministry.-Withdrew to the sea, but a great crowd followed. -v.7-8--Planned to withdraw to a boat, because of crowd pressure- -v.9-10--Withdrew from more public attention by silencing ungodly agendas. -v.11-12-

The Lord of the Sabbath demonstrated how to receive His rest and to do good.-Ever ready to criticize or to help others- -v.1-2--Hiding behind rule-keeping or caring for people- -v.3-4- -Hard-heartedness and hatred on the Sabbath, or right responses, right words and actions, and relieving those who suffer- -v.5-6-

Equipping - you already have what you need - the compassion of Jesus Christ.-Mark 16-1-7 The compassion of Jesus for Peter is a model for us.-Luke 22-54-61 Jesus' look at Peter was compassion.

God gave us weekly Sabbaths as a refreshing gift on our way to heaven.-1. Disciples picked grain on the Sabbath. -v.23--2. Pharisees challenged. -v.24--3.
