  • Fallscast Episode 12: August 25, 2020

This week we forgo our usual round-table discussion and bring you instead an interview with Kathleen Balogh, Animal Care Manager at Akron Zoo. Kathleen is caring for Clawdia, the blue lobster that was found in a live shipment of lobsters at Red Lobster in Cuyahoga Falls just over a month ago, and she discussed Clawdia (not Clawdette), her transition and acclimation, as well as what we can learn from her journey and other efforts by the Akron Zoo to educate the public about animals and foster community in our area. We’ll return with our round-table discussion and interview format next week!

CORRECTION: In last week’s episode we indicated that Silver Lake was returning to school in person, but we meant to say Woodridge, as Silver Lake is part of CFCSD, which is going online through 9/25.
