“The Kingdom of God is what things would be like if Jesus ran everything.”  Jesus came announcing the Kingdom of God was near.  What did the crowd understand by this phrase?  Nathan looks at the Old Testament narrative of the Kingdom of god leading up to the time Jesus breaks onto the scene.

CS Lewis writes "Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important."    So on Easter Sunday, as we celebrate our first baptism, we look at why the resurrection is so important and how it changes everything.

On Palm Sunday Nathan unpacks the events of the day - Lamb Selection Day 4 days before passover.  We look at the expectation of the King - what would he be like and what would he do?  Jesus goes far beyond our expectations by redeeming us and dealing with the root cause all suffering.

There a few stories in the Old Testament that almost shadow the events of the cross.  In this talk our hope is that we’d get a greater sense of God’s story leading up to Easter and we would be reminded of how central and how crucial, the events of Easter, are to our faith.

It’s great to be able to reflect back over the first, exciting year in the life of the Church.  What an amazing time as God has drawn us together and set us on a mission to bring people to life in Jesus.
