After many years, I reconnected with the great singer and guitarist Umer Piracha - we hang out and hear exceprts of their unreleased album.  The Pakistani/American singer and his band Falsa call themselves a 14th Century Sufi Chamber Fusion Ensemble and have developed a cult following. 

We are excited that they will join us for the Ragas Live Festival on October 6-7 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn!

Falsa Umer Piracha on Vocals, accompanied by Siddharth Ashokkumar on Carnatic Violin, Tom Deis and Paul Arendt on Guitars/Harmonium, Adam Hershberger on Trumpet, and Greg Foran on Percussion.
