The video game market can be unpredictable, and the last year has proven that even well-founded leaks are unreliable in the face of global chip shortages. Even so, we try to read the tea leaves about what's coming in 2022. Five years into the Nintendo Switch, will there be a successor? How will NFTs impact gaming, if at all? Will Sean finally beat Bart vs. the Space Mutants, and stop making us all suffer with live streams?

Vinnk and Sean try to use their powers of anti-prognostication for good for the coming year, which apparently includes Sean finding an Xbox Series X less than a week after recording this episode. After a war that nearly wipes out humanity, anyone born with the curse of sight or access to written knowledge is killed by the Witchfinders of Queen Kane of the Payan Kingdom. Despite this, the Queen had designs on royal progeny who can see in order to gain an edge over her enemies. Her consort goes astray, however, and shares this gift with many, many women who are not the Queen. One such woman ends up in the village of Baba Voss, where she gives birth to twins, and marrying Baba who raises little Kofun and Haniwa as his own. When it is discovered they can see, they must do everything in their power to make sure the Queen never finds them.

Vinnk and Sean review the first season of this bold series, set in beautiful, desolate locales ironically at odds with the show's title. How does such a story tread the line between nullifying one of the five main senses its audience may take for granted without denigrating the characters (and their very much sighted actors)? What do they think of this new-fangled Apple TV+ streaming service amongst a crowd of so many others?

The bad news keeps compounding for Sony. First came the announcement that the PS3, PSP, and Vita online stores would be shutting down this July. Then some intrepid investigators discovered that the death of the CMOS battery in PS3 and PS4 models means your digital libraries would be useless -- even if the batteries are replaced -- unless it can connect to online servers that will no longer be in service after this year. And lo and behold, this problem affects the PS5 as well!

On this 10th anniversary episode of the DojoCast, Sean and Vinnk recall the first episode about the DLC Apocalypse, and how it's really been here all along.
