FAMILIA FFB

Our Beat Writer Series continues with Jess Root, site editor for Cards Wire, as we go to the Arizona desert for answers on the Cardinals. Kyler Murray could take another step forward as a passer by stepping a little back on the running. DeAndre Hopkins is still elite, and could score more TDs. The backfield has some questions, starting with if someone will take the lead caballo role. Has this entire roster taken a step forward as a team? This team could be caliente!

First off, feliz cumpleanos to primo Hector. El dia de tu santo! And this time we get to celebrate! Vamonos. The Top 10 WRs has some intriguing debate/discussion. Should the Cheetah be el Numero Uno? What does Justin Jefferson do for a sophomore encore? Truthfully, there are 15-20 WRs that could be on this list. Chisme has important injury updates and a Year 2 bounceback possibility. Salud!

Cam Inman, who covers the 49ers for the San Jose Mercury News, East Bay Times and 95.7 The Game, joins to update our Familia on the San Francisco offseason. From the trade that nabbed the #3 pick, to players such as George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and the stable of RBs, it's a talented group who could help your #fantasyfootball team. His Spanish nickname matches one of his favorite tacos. Salud!

The Raiders are in one of the most high-powered divisions in all the NFL. Will Derek Carr keep up with Mahomes and Herbert? Will Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards take a step forward? How will the carries be split between Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake? Will Darren Waller continue to be one of the best TEs in football? The Las Vegas Review-Journal and Raider Nation Radio's Vinny Bonsignore gives you the answers. Salud! #raidernation

Before getting into the Top 10 RBs in their preliminary rankings, los primos divulge the traditional Mexican things that they don't care for. Like patas de puerco. Don't look that up. They also get into the Julio Jones deal and some other Chisme from the week. Salud!

Continuing our Beat Writer Series, today we're off to Indy to talk Colts with The Athletic's Zak Keefer. We dug into the Carson Wentz deal and what it means to the Colts to reunite him with HC Frank Reich. Keefer shed some light on how the Colts may use workhorse RB Jonathan Taylor and the other stable of runners for the team. The WR group is talented, but there are some questions that need to get answered. Since they're by the legendary raceway, the engines start with the fierce O-line. Some very in-depth insight in just 18 minutes. Plus, he had a great story about Pat McAfee. Keefer also has found some good tacos out in Indy. Salud! #fantasyfootball #TheAthletic #Colts (Special note: We had some WiFi issues, but Keefer's insight comes through loud and clear.)

The Compas on the Beat – aka Fernando Ramirez and Gilbert Manzano – have been covering the LA Chargers for a few seasons, and join Familia FFB to give a look at how some of the key skill players could perform in 2021. How big a step forward does Justin Herbert take? Will he get a haircut? Austin Ekeler could jump into that Alvin Kamara role in the new offense. Mike Williams is filling an important position on the offense, while Keenan Allen's greatness may actually make him underrated. Down in the trenches, the Compas talk about how the new faces on the O-line could help Herbert take that next step with less pressure. They also share a little about how their podcast, Compas on the Beat, got its origin. Make sure to subscribe to Compas on the Beat on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. You don't want to miss the taco talk at the end. Salud!

Los primos take their first look at the QBs for 2021, with some very familiar names. Many have something in common. First, Father Time gave one of them a reminder of who's really in charge. Chisme brings us updates on several important players for #fantasyfootball.

Feliz Memorial Day! Wishing all those who have served health and happiness, and also heartfelt thoughts to those who laid down their lives for our country. We begin the show with a thankful roll call of Familia members who have served in the military. Gracias! Chisme brings us up to date on a few players, then we help primo Ricky with some mocking for a Super Flex Dynasty startup draft he has coming up. Hope he does better on draft day. Salud!

Introducing the summer @FamiliaFFB series where we turn the tables and interview beat writers from all 32 teams. First up, Kevin Modesti of the LA Daily News, OC Register & other Southern California newspapers. Kevin has been on the Rams' beat going into his third season, and he offers good insight into the new QB in LA, as well as how he's going to impact all the offensive weapons for #FantasyFootball aficionados. We talk about the important skill position players, and even cover a little offensive line. Closing it out, Kevin shares a heartfelt story about the late Tommy Lasorda (Kevin covered the Dodgers for 3 years). Salud!
