Being a good husband and a father is a big priority for a lot of men, but often the idea of financially providing for the family overshadows the importance of being there, physically, for the family. Brendan Wall realized this had gotten to be the circumstance for him when the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to be home and make him see with his own eyes everything he was missing with his wife and kids while he had been away at work. This revelation helped him re-prioritize his life and switch jobs to more manageable hours. Not wanting other men to make the same mistake, Brendan took the time being home for the pandemic to start the "Dad the Man" podcast.
At Dad the Man their mission is to "inspire men to be the best version of themselves so that we can show up as the best men, husbands, and fathers for ourselves and our families, and provide the resources to do so.
At Dad the Man we interview the guys we all know and admire professionally, but more importantly, are setting the tone for what a great man, husband, and father looks like. Guys who seize the opportunity before them to love and lead their families from the front, from a place of opportunity not obligation."
In this episode of Family By Heart, Dustin and Brendan talk about the creation of Dad the Man, some of the guests Brendan has had on, similar parenting experiences they've shared and the new journey that they will similarly share as Brendan and his wife prepare to adopt just as Dustin has adopted his two children.
