Pastor Andy continues his series about "Approaching God" with another awesome must hear message this week focusing on being confident in our approach.

Pastor Andy continues speaking about the way we approach our Lord God. Today's message carries on from last week where we started to consider our approach to a God who is not only our Father but also the creator of the universe! Using key scriptures from Hebrews 4 and Hebrews 10, Pastor Andy considers how we may approach God with boldness because Jesus is our High Priest.

Ps Andy today speaks about having as correct approach to God. he uses the scriptures from Psalm 100 and 1 Samuel 7 : 12 to illustrate how the bible teaches us the correct way to approach our Lord. Often we rush into many requests and expect super fast answers in todays impatient world. The bible corrects us!

Pastor Steu talks a bout the love of God, using many scriptures including the cardinal verse from John 3:16 (NIV -  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life). The love of God is everlasting, all encompassing and available to us all. A message not to be missed!

Family Church Portsmouth was held in the field today and Pastor Andy spoke vividly about the distractions of everyday life facing us all but especially our children. These distractions (social media, peer pressure, gaming, TV, advertising and many more) try to pull our children away from God and a small period of time in Kids Church on Sunday mornings cannot compete with the strength of these anti-Christ forces. Andy uses the very immediate demonstration of a tug of war to show how all parents and indeed all the rest of us in the church community must take responsibility for assisting in ensuring our kids stay on the straight and narrow path every day of their lives.

Pastor Andy concludes his series on Good Foundations with this message about Faith. The previous messages in this series looked at the keystone foundations of Grace, Righteousness, Justification and New Creation in Him. Andy now speaks of the unseen element or common denominator across all of these which is Faith in God. The key facet that allows all these other things to manifest themselves in our lives is faith in God. A simple belief (childlike not childish) allows us to access everything God has provided for us in the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
