Family Gathering

Jonathan and Val are absent this week, so Joe and Derric cover a bunch of topics. Legacy, check. Pauper, check. Proxies, check. Pioneer and Explorer, check. New Capenna, check. Tell us what cards you think will be all-stars from New Capenna. Derric realized AFTER recording that Pioneer is not exactly the format/sets he thought. Prior to Pioneer was a community created format called Frontier, that was in fact Khans of Tarkir forward. Pioneer is Return to Ravnica forward (Sounds like the format for Scotty.)

We celebrate a year of being a podcast.

This week Jonathan talks about new cards he's received. Val is out sick. Joe gives us a quick commander tip. Then we talk about our top 5 keywords.

The cast have a discussion about what they've been doing. Derric and Joe talk about the trip to visit Cantrip Cartel they took. Jake sent something back for Val. We all saw the Batman, which MTG cards do we think best reflect The Caped Crusader and his tool belt.

We open our prerelease kits, a little late, but all together. One of us opens money. One of us opens a solid artifact deck. Some of us just open packs and have fun. Oh, we have a special guest also.

The whole crew is together again....well kind of. Family Gathering does it's first virtual episode. New commanders. Pauper Bans. New sets on the horizon. The crew talks about a variety of things. We have a special guest. Jonathan teaches some magic.
