Family offices are moving past the AI buzz — using it to automate, analyze, and decide smarter. 
In this episode, we look at how three private family offices are actually deploying AI—inside real workflows, not slide decks. One is running Copilot and ChatGPT in parallel. One bypassed the big platforms and built an end-to-end solution with Mantle to fix the alt-data problem and feed it directly into their accounting platform, Archway. The third combines point tools, automation, and LLMs to generate code, close reporting gaps, and standardise investment processes.
We examine what drives these choices: security posture, ROI, and internal capability—and whether AI is reducing work or reshaping it. An audience poll shows most offices are doing exactly this: running both Copilot and ChatGPT rather than picking a single winner. Three approaches, three philosophies—a clear snapshot of where AI adoption in family offices stands today.

Joe Donovan, Vice President of Operations, CYMI Holdings Joe leads the finance, technology, and operations functions at CYMI Holdings, the family office serving three generations of the Mathile family. He also helped establish CYMI Trust Company, which serves the fiduciary needs of the family’s trusts. Joe is particularly interested in how emerging technologies—especially AI—can enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and reshape the way complex, multi-generational family offices operate.
Sharon Li, COO, Spindrift Management Sharon Li is Chief Operating Officer at Spindrift Management, a New York–based family office. She oversees operations, tax, accounting, and reporting, and supports investment due diligence and asset management. Previously, she was Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at HighBrook Investment Management, and earlier held senior roles in private equity at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Morgan Stanley.
Daniel Amberger, CTO, Single Family OfficeDaniel Amberger is the Chief Technology Officer of a global single-family office, where he has led technology strategy for the past five years. With over 11 years at the organization, he has supported its growth from a 50-person US-based team to a 200+ employee enterprise with multiple international offices. Daniel focuses on leveraging AI and automation to drive innovation and scalability across the business.

Billy is Co-Founder and CEO of Bienville Capital, a New York based multi-family office and asset management firm. His family has a 153 year old operating business and has managed a family office for 50 years. Billy oversees portfolio construction and client relationships at Bienville. Previously he traded equity derivatives at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and BayCrest. He is a Board Member of Cedar Creek Land & Timber and T.R. Miller Mill Company. He graduated from Vanderbilt University.

Harsh Govil

Partner, Motive Ventures

Harsh Govil is a Partner on Motive Ventures’ investment team in New York, focused on payments, AI, wealth and vertical applications.
