  • Great Expectations

The Trail Blazers Tip Off their season Wednesday night and we couldn't be more excited.  This week we try to set the bar for our version of realistic expectations.  We also discuss what we think needs to happen for the Blazers to maximize their regular season success and what scenarios might play out if they end up on the lower end of where we think they will be at the end of the season.

After discussing the big picture of the season, we narrow our focus for a quick discussion of the Blazers Week 1 opponents; the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets.

Where do you think the Blazers will end up this regular season?  What are the keys to maximizing their success?  Are there any reasons why you think Blazer fans should be worried?  Let us know what you think at https://twitter.com/familytwine or via email at [email protected].

Happy Holidays & Thanks for Listening.

  • You Know the Vibes

This week Pat & Jackson unsuccessfully try to keep the Blazers first preseason game in perspective, get ready for the return of Rodney Hood (one of their favorite Blazers on and off the court) and discuss the debate over the Blazers decision to stick with Anfernee Simons as the back up point guard instead of signing a free agent.

Family Twine is a father and son podcast about the 2020-2021 Portland Trailblazers season.  We've been spending a lot of family time talking hoops in general and the Blazers specifically so we thought we'd share the conversation with you.  In our first ever episode we discuss what happened in the bubble that makes us most excited for this season, shine a light on the new additions to this year's team and conclude with a discussion about Head Coach Terry Stotts pre-training camp potential starting line up.
