In a life that progresses so fast everyday, it is a great practice to set reminders of what God has done through & for us in our past...

Why? B/c so often in the Bible when people face the impossible, God reminds them of His & their past...

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

& this: Only 10% know what they want to DO…

BUT of those, only 5% will ever actually do what's necessary, pay the price, make the sacrifice & GET THERE

We live in one of the most prosperous nations on earth...yet we live life so unsatisfied...

So we try to replace it with substitutes and the next best "shiny" thing that leaves you more thirsty & needy than before...

In the absence of satisfaction we will always settle & substitute - all of this was never God's plan for fulfilling our life!

The reason we are like we are as a person is because there is "something" missing in the world we are living in...& God put "it" in us...

From our text in Judges 11 we look how God has called us to value those around us & ourself - at all cost.
