This week on Fandom Fables, Scott, French, and Caleb wade head-first into the internet wildfire known as the “Conformity Gate” theory — the Stranger Things fan idea that somehow turned half the fandom into amateur apocalypse prophets overnight.

From TikTok breakdowns and Reddit spirals to YouTube “evidence walls,” the guys break down what the theory actually claims, where it came from, and why so many fans latched onto it so fast. Is Conformity Gate a clever piece of meta-storytelling hidden in Stranger Things… or just another case of fandom mass hysteria running wild between episode drops?

Along the way, the crew talks about how long gaps between seasons fuel conspiracy-level theorizing, why modern fandoms are built to amplify wild ideas, and how Stranger Things has become the perfect playground for theory culture to go off the rails.

If you’ve seen the charts, the timelines, and the screaming TikToks and thought, “What is actually happening here?” — this episode is your reality check.
