Welcome back for another dose of Fandom Sessions. In this episode, we take time to craft our love letter to the newest entry in the Evil Dead franchise with the recently released Evil Dead Rise. To show proper love to a master-crafted horror film, we enlisted the help of one of the most influential and wonderful people in the horror genre as Sydney joins us to revel in the gore of the film. Sydney is behind TikTok's Horror_Chronicles in which she reviews and shows love for the entire horror genre. Easily one of the best channels available on the platform, she has also delved into filmmaking as she produces Don't Trip. A horror-comedy film that is currently in the works after making a killing in their Kickstarter campaign.
Daniel sits down with the passionate Scott Koblish as they discuss his recently released comic book mini-series Kokju from Image Comics. They also take on some other subjects while talking about his new monster comic such as environmental collapse, and climate change. Plus a chat about Alan Moore, Watchmen, Kaiju films, and a highlight reel of Scott’s comic book career. Thanks for stoping in for another Fandom Session and remember to GEEK RESPONSIBLY!
Celebrated artist Alex Ross joins us for our newest episode to talk about an exciting collaboration with CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) which will give fans an opportunity to send in their most prized collections from Ross's time illustrating and writing comics. Through the in-house private signing, Ross's work will be signed and graded by CGC marking these works by the Eisner and Harvey award-winning creator as a timeless collectible.
Ross also discusses his previous work including his recent limited series with Marvel titled Fantastic Four: Full Circle. This limited series made it to the list of our top comics of 2022 and rightfully so, as Ross singlehandedly delivered a series that lands on all points both narratively and in the illustrations. With his continued library of creator work and an endless lineup of variant covers for multiple publishers, Ross continues to be a trailblazer in his signature style of realism art.
To learn more about the work and artwork by Ross, visit his official website.
