Poetry On Life

Fantasy

Listen Later

Let’s rent a boat and sail the seas

Go with the flow and the breeze,

Let waters and the winds decide

Where they’ll take us for a merry ride.

Let go, Let go, Yes, Let go

Then see how short you”ll be on woe,

Let someone else count the miles

As you revel in pretty smiles.

Choose Winter for this little jaunt

Else, the Sun will you, forever haunt,

You don’t want the sweat of your brow

To add to the level and drown you, somehow.

Time, will fly as never before

Life, seemingly, without a chore

For, all you’ll do is count the stars

Gaze at Venus and at Mars.

Truly vast are the seas at night

For, darkness banishes all signs of light,

The twinkle in the skies above

The scene all set for romance and love.

The night’s young do what you wish

Hold hands or catch some fish

Or, close your eyes and catch some sleep

Think of old times and you might weep.

Tears of joy may gently flow

Memories and the heart aglow,

Snowflakes falling from the skies

A little moist the remembering eyes.

Dream, folks or fantasize

Not much to choose ‘tween truth and lies,

It’s all mirage, the sands of Time

The World no more than Pantomime.
