Also notable tonight, was Alex Sarr of the Wizards, who put up a well-rounded line, though on 40% shooting from the field.
Erik tackles the big fantasy headlines from Friday's slate, discussing how managers should be wary of what he calls players' broad spectrum of outcomes. He delivers a healthy helping of add recommendations, including Toronto's Jonathan Mogbo, but with a caveat. Listen in.
Erik breaks down a quiet four-game slate on Thursday night, at least that was the plan. He was taken aback by all the surprising starters several teams deployed. Erik looks at the fantasy fallout of those moves and provides insights to fantasy managers on what to do next. He also highlights some notable performances, like Jordan Poole's big night and defensive stats as well as Klay Thompson's impressive debut for the Mavs.
Erik breaks down a huge 10-game slate and is sad to report that Dejounte Murray suffered a fractured left hand in his Pelican debut. He also laments Immanuel Quickley suffering a pelvic contusion. But to add insult to injuries, multiple rookies not only failed to impress in their NBA debuts but outright disappointed fantasy GMs. Erik delivers some context and fantasy advice regarding many buzzy players after the second game of the season on Wednesday.
The 2024-25 NBA season is finally here which means that fantasy basketball is back! Erik breaks down the opening night action in this episode. He was floored by the monster lines dropped by Jayson Tatum and Anthony Davis. He chimes in with his two cents on Miles McBride, who looked good playing as the Knicks' sixth man tonight.
