A couple of goalies stole the show when it came to 3 and a half stars, while a Bruins combo leads the way in 5 lineup decisions. Too many stars are in the MASH 4077 Unit and it's tough for teams in league finals. That is what my Fantasy Beef is about while my Bold Prediction is around Ryan Ellis. Nikita Gusev is who I voted on Fantasy Island and a playoff leasing system.

This week it's the trade deadline edition of FHT, where we looked at 5 lineup decisions that the deadline will impact. 3 and a half stars saw two players put up 8 points, but only one will be name first star. Some serious talent is banged up right now in the MASH 4077 unit, and while some will be back soon, one really skilled defenceman is out for the season. My bold prediction is about a Bruin forward while I voted on a Red Wing dman this week. My fantasy beef is about getting a shutout when it means nothing and in Rules of Fantasy Engagement, I'm talking about minor league systems in fantasy.

The Question of the Day is about the biggest disappointment on your fantasy hockey team this year. There were some interesting answers from Twitter and some not surprising ones also. Cale Makar, Brad Machard, Nathan Mackinnon and Martin Jones were on display in 3 and and a half stars while some second and third line players getting love in 5 lineup decisions as well as some guys to stash on your roster. 

Tuukka Rask is still taking up space in the MASH 4077 Unit along with a teammate, a pair of Ducks, a Wild and former Wild player. I made a bold prediction about Marc-Andre Fleury turning things around for the slumping Vegas Golden Knights, and I voted on a surging Avalanche forward. My fantasy beef this week is about childish antics from fantasy owners and in rules of engagement, a new twist on the regular season trade deadline, not having one!

I kicked things off with the Question of the Day about big deals you have made to make a run at your league title? 3 and a Half Stars featured two goalies, a Dman and a forward. 5 Lineup Decisions had me recommending a lot of Avs, a trio of Hawks, warning about Mike Hoffman after what happened on Sunday night, watching Taravanen in Nashville and looking forward to Barkov returning in Florida. 

Speaking of the Panthers, awful news for Aaron Ekblad and fantasy GMs after the #1 blue liner was stretchered off the ice with a gruesome leg injury. Ekblad was the biggest name in the MASH 4077 Unit this week, but he was far from alone. My Bold Prediction was about Brandon Saad, while I voted a Tampa Bay Lighting forward onto Fantasy Island. 

My Fantasy Beef this week is about CBS and their terrible hockey site, while Yahook during drafts isn't much better. Rules of Fantasy Engagement had me handing out simple advice around draft time that can prevent tantrums.

I started things off asking what dman you would target first in a brand new dynasty league? Some familiar names in the 3 and a Half Stars while 5 Lineup Decisions had me not buying in on the Jack Campbell run long term, boosting a rebuild with Jack Eichel, warning of two game weeks, applauding the Kings on the PP and finding a potential star in Jason Robertson of Dallas. 

Some big names in the MASH 4077 Unit with Alex Pietrangelo, Tuukka Rask (plus a bunch of Bruins on the Covid list), John Gibson, Darcy Keumper, Evgeni Malkin and Tyler Toffoli. Some for longer time than others. Bold Predictions had me thinking Filip Forsberg will bust his slump and light things up vs. Chicago and Detroit. Fantasy Island had me trading for John Klingberg and Bock Boeser this week. My Fantasy Beef is about loophole guy while I had more advice than rules in Rules of Fantasy Engagement. A couple of Oilers, a goalie and a rookie dominated 3 and a half stars while 5 lineup decisions had names like Shattenkirk, Tanev and Markstrom involved. The MASH 4077 Unit has some big names on it, some for hopefully a short stay, while others like Eichel are booking long term unfortunately. Bold Predictions involved Tyler Toffoli of the Habs while Fantasy Island focused on Drew Doughty of the Kings. Finally, I have a beef with CBS Fantasy Hockey and a suggestion for weighted categories.

In 5 Lineup Decisions I was pumping Paul Stastny and Jesse Puljujarvi, recommending Oliver Wahlstrom in daily leagues and chatting about Ilya Sorkin, while offering advice on what to do with Taylor Hall. 

The MASH 4077 Unit is full again with some big names who could be out for just a few games or in some cases much longer. My Bold prediction is about a smiling Finnish Oiler lighting up the Senators while I voted a player on and off Fantasy Island. Finally my Fantasy Beef is about penalty minutes being a positive stat and in Rules of Fantasy Engagement I went with a rule we have in one of our baseball leagues regarding contracts that you sign players to, which would work in any sport.

I checked in on the MASH 4077 Unit with some guys out and others returning to the line up, not good news if you're in weekly leagues for some potentially injured guys. My Bold Prediction was about Tuukka Rask, while I voted another goalie off Fantasy Island and welcomed a former Calgary Hitmen blue liner. I railed against weekly line up leagues in Fantasy Beef and gave you a new rule idea to keep bad teams interested.
